Hugh O'Brian as Wyatt Earp in the TV series with his Buntline Special. Steve McQueen as Josh Randall in Wanted Dead Or Alive with his Winchester 1892 "Mare's Leg." Yeah, he told Gretchen where the safety was on it. Don't remember if he said it was on the right or left.

Another Winchester 92: Lucas McCain (Chuck Connors) in The Rifleman. He had a special gimmick: a machine screw tapped into the trigger guard that enabled him to reload and fire (the screw activated the trigger) in rapid succession. A twist of the screw would disable this feature. You can't truly call yourself "peaceful" unless you are capable of great violence. His diet consists of black coffee, and sarcasm. |
The snub-nose revolver (usually the S&W Chiefs Special, sometimes the Colt Detective Special) in dozens of cop/PI shows of the 1970s. Ones used by the bad guys were often suppressed.

In any movie the sound of an M-60 makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I have flown among the trees and looked into the face of the enemy.
