Just picked up from the smith. So -- it works now with the Legacy slide -- Apparently it was a geometry issue between the locking block, trigger, and trigger bar. He said there's a post on the trigger itself (I admit I haven't stripped out the gray guns trigger to see how it differs from a standard p-trigger, but) and that it was literally a thread too high. After shaving it down a hair, everything is now sitting low enough for the slide to rack the hammer. Works same with original Legion slide as well, with the legacy 228/9 locking block still installed. Set me back $95 for his trouble. Sigh. What we can't do ourselves... ----------------------------------- "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb deciding what to have for dinner. It may seem strange but I found this entire thread enjoyable to read, like I was reading a book with a happy ending. Year V | |||

It's an old meme. Dusted it off. I can't wait to put some rounds down range on the 229 now that I've got the RDS on it! I'll try and do a range report after the weekend. ----------------------------------- "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb deciding what to have for dinner.
