in Germany next month.

Easily one of the best, if not the finest, collection of this type in the world !

(Warning: Viewing this catalogue may cause feelings of lust, inadequacy, delirium and delusional fantasies about selling the house, wife, children and family dog to finance the purchase of one or more items from this collection)

Broomhandles! Many, many of them. Including the box magazine models. Another itch I cant afford to scratch.

Amazing collection! Even more amazing was that on pages 349-353 (and elsewhere) they felt the need to obscure the Nazi Swastika logos... Roll Eyes

I believe it's against German law to display Nazi insignias.

I sure hope his family realize what on earth it is they are selling if this poor guy is dead. There appears to be millions of dollars in firearms in that collection to say the least not to mention the historical value which is probably beyond measure. I've never seen that many HIGH Quality Lugers in one place in my life and that includes museums!

They have to obscure them... display of the swastika is illegal, though it does not have to be removed from historic collections.

The print catalogue alone is going to be a collector's item and valuable reference.

As one wag said, "There were over a million Lugers made and if you ask a collector, each and every one of them is a separate and distinct model."

That hobby looks more like work to me.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

No, that’s the starting price (excluding the buyer’s premium). Some items will ultimately sell for many multiples of their starting prices.
