I carry all my HKs cocked and locked. There is no DA pull for me and that's the way I like it.

Did I mention the CZ TS2 Orange? Or the new Sig P226 X5?

I had an opportunity to handle and shoot a USP9 Expert, and handle the 92X Performance and Defensive variants today.

All of the feedback in this thread on the USP was accurate. It's a hell of a nice weapon.

The size/weight/recoil ratio of the Expert is perfect. Easy to shoot well despite a very long heavy trigger pull and looong reset. The DA pull seemed no shorter than a 92 IMO. Still a fun gun, let down by the sights a bit. I was also surprised by the very aggressive frontstrap stippling. My hands grew weary of that quickly. I'd sand it down a bit if I bought one.

The 92X Performance guns were also too rough with the front and backstrap treatment. I'm a 40lpi guy, not a 20lpi kind of guy, in 1911 terms. The weight was cool at first but 3lbs+a full mag is a lot to lug around. I tried to see if I could tell the difference between the Performance and Non railed defensive I would say barely. They are both heavy guns.

I'm down to LTT 92 Elite or Shadow 2 SomethingOrOther. I do want the option to add RDS.

Unless I find a WC 1911 in 9mm and lose all self-control...

Aaaaaaannnnddd I ordered the LTT 92G Elite with all the fixin's, opted for spartan sights over the RDO option. I'm as excited as a little girl.

Now, I wait, while I do I'll figure out where to get pics hosted ;-P

I appreciate all of the feedback I received in this thread, thank you gentlemen!

You can't go wrong with the LTT. The 92 is a classic and as much as I love HK, the 92 is a better performer for me than the USP. My Expert does not see much range time compared to the Beretta.

New gun came!

The NP3 hardware looks a little bronze-ish in the pics but that's my phone. It's a very nice grey, and less "blingy" than the LTT pictures make it look. It's awesome, a BBQ gun for a guy who doesn't like polished nickel.

LTT is a very nice company to deal with, and this 92 has the nicest conventional DA trigger I've ever experienced. The DA pull is like a Kahr K9, and the SA pull is light with a VERY short reset. Puts everything else out there to shame IMO.
