I used to prefer leather, but I have become a kydex convert. I like the reassuring "click" I get when holstering.

If you go the kydex route, be sure to give Vedder holsters a serious look. They have great products, fast turnaround, and more colors and options that most any other kydex holster maker.

No leather for me anymore, mostly because they're too thick of a kit once the gun is onboard. From my own experiences: I hear about how Kydex wears down gun finishes, but the most wear I've ever had was with leather holsters, admitted on the budget end of the range since I'm too cheap to spring for a nice one.

For EDC it's IWB carry 99% of the time. Remainder is pocket for those extremely rare times that I can't make a larger handgun work. For IWB it's Kydex w/ an aerated synthetic body shield hybrid for me. Admittedly not for everyone, but I find it comfortable year round. Older style (small trapezoid aeration cutouts) Stealthgear Revolution sized for the compact Glock (19/23/32). Unlike my craptastic faux-Kydex Blade-Tech Eclipse that it replaced, the Revo has been durable and solid in 3 yrs of near constant use. Only issue has been screws that walk, but some thread lock took care of that.

For pocketing my G43 or P365 I have a couple of synthetic nylon designs to choose from, but mostly I go with a DeSantis Superfly with the conceal flap.

Leather. Softer on the body while driving and much less wear on your firearm. Especially if you are on the bigger side. JMHO.

Leather all day long for me. IWB or OWB. It feels good and looks great and it doesn't mar the gun. The onky kydex holster I use is when I am shooting competition... which is hardly ever anymore.
I like/ use a Don Hume,DeSantis, Galco.

This is my PPS in such a holster...

Make/model of that holster please... Wink

BigNC is correct that my holster is an Ozark which is no longer being made but that style kydex is very popular and available from others.
