Currently in 9mm I pretty much stick to Speer Gold Dot 147gr but also dabble with Federal HST 147gr and Winchester Ranger 115gr and 147gr.

Looking to pick up a 365 X Macro and curious what you all are using?

Are you getting one with the comp, or without? I've not verified this for myself, but in reading some reviews last week I came across a comment that the effects of the comp were more pronounced with lighter bullets.

Mine shoots 124 Gr. HST's, 124 Gr. Gold Dot's and 124 gr. Ranger very well.
These are all plus P loads.

I discussed my experience with Speer 124 grain +P Gold Dot in a standard P365 some time ago:

FWIW: Every pistol I own that could potentially be used to shoot something living has Federal HST ammo loaded. Different calibers, different guns, different weights, from 124gr to 230+P.

I just “broke in” my 365 X Macro (not compensated). Two sessions with cleaning and lubing in between, about 500 rounds. Used Federal HST 124g +P, Gold Dot standard pressure 115, 124, and 147 grain, IMI “Black Dot” 124g +P plus some FMJs.

The pistol loved everything! No problem with anything I fed it. Definitely passed my threshold for confidence in a carry gun. It may very well replace my Glock 32 as my EDC.

The mags are quite difficult to load— glad I had a magazine loader.

I like it so much that I am considering an XL model
For an even smaller footprint.

We have some dudes carrying 365s and they like the Speer 147 grain G2 just fine.

Through a G48, I’m getting some pretty awesome 25 and 50 yard groups with that ammo.
