On 11 April, just got a P220 carry SAS Gen2, 37C000XXX with a manufactured date of 22 March 2018; a Newington frame with vertical lines on the front strap rather then horizontal on Exeter models or early German with none. Also not as "radiused" or rounded on the edges as the Exeter or German models but still more than any standard P-frame.This message has been edited. Last edited by: madmatt,
Recently saw on an auction site P226 SN U85946. This is definitely a test pistol. Note that the SN starts with a single U not UU as posted. Tried to buy it, but it hammered for $9000 plus vig.

I recently acquired a West German P230. I called SIG CS to get what information I could. The rep said their database only goes back to 2006, but they have a list of older guns by SN. I was told mine (S1176xx) was manufactured in 1985. He further said all of the S117xxx series were manufactured in 1985. Proof marked with the "bug" (Kiel).
