Can someone take control of this thread so it can be updated?

It was last updated by: Uriah, September 17, 2012 11:24 PM

I would volunteer to do it.

I have a P239 that's significantly older than any of the ones listed here so far but I really have no clue when it was actually made.

It seems like the frame sat around in the warehouse a long time before it actually shipped, and then a couple months longer as a completed gun until they threw it in a box with some magazines.

P239- Exeter - SA 13384
Grips marked 10/95
Magazines marked 6/97 Eek

Not sure how that happened.

Uriah, do you want someone else to take over the responsibility of adding data?

I'll get back on it. I know I haven't updated in a while.

I'm still on here regularly enough obviously, but a bit less posting and for shorter stints - just other 'busy-ness' having taken precedence.

Some people are so sensitive about the omission of their digits. Wink

If you need a hand, I can help as well. I did a lot of researching on the P-245 and have a lot of stuff to be added to this thread.

SigSauer228,

If you'd like, you can copy and paste whatever pertinent section from the list, and add your updated material to it. Post it here on the thread, and I'll copy it into the OP.

I will give you upkeep credit in the list or whatever you prefer, as you can't directly modify the OP.

Thank you.

Here's the whole section for the P-245 including what you already had posted, and what I have collected since. Figure it would be easier for you to "copy & paste" instead of taking the time to sort it out.

Do you happen to have any proof codes or manufacture dates for the serial numbers you filled in?

Please don't take offense, as I more than appreciate your effort, but filling in serial numbers without any relevant details doesn't really add much pertinent information for the model.

Thank you.

Uriah - hi. I have a somewhat unusual P228 I would like entered in the census. The serial number is B2958xx. It came in a fitted "Law Enforcement" marked black plastic case with three (3) 13-round LEO magazines. The slide is not marked "W. Germany" nor is the slide/barrel serialized to the receiver. There are no proof marks or proof date. I believe this pistol is part of a US PD contract run. I have yet to see another. Thanks.
