Hey fellas, I have a P320 M17. (the serial number begins with M17, and the Slide is marked Sig Sauer P320 near the muzzle end and M17 just forward of the ejection port.)

I also have the M18 conversion kit/slide.

I was looking at the Romeo M17 but it says "only fits SIG SAUER M17/M18 military issue, and commemorative pistols with a single optics plate mounting screw."

Does that mean it won't fit my "Civilan" P320-M17??

Anyone know how to tell?

Thanks in advance

That’s correct. The optic won’t fit any commercial P320 M17 slides. You either need the commemorative release which has the true mil-spec slide or one of the new M17X/M18X models which have the slide with the mil optic cut.

They should come out with a civilian slide version. And then there's the new Sig-Loc with two screws from the bottom, but bigger than current screws. Sig needs to pick a damn standard and stick with it.

The civilian slide version is the Romeo-X.

Sig has two standards...the military with the Romeo M17 and the civilian P320 Romeo-X.

It really wasn't too confusing until Sig came out with the M17X/M18X civilian models which take The Romeo M17. These blurred the lines.

The Romeo M17 really is the superior mounting system (really overkill for civilian pistols). But there are already a ton of P320 pistols out there and many of those owners want this new sight also. Hence the Romeo-X, which, by the way, is a lot less expensive than the Romeo M17.
