Is there any LONG term value in having a DAK kit (conversion parts) to acquire for my 239’s? Would it make the overall value of the 239’s increase? With SIG not making parts or selling parts for one of my favorite model SIG’s it got me wondering.

Lost, but making good time
| I don't think it will add any value. The DAK trigger is a love or hate trigger. Judging from the countless threads on it over the years, it's more hate than love (personally I am in the love camp). The P239's sell pretty quickly, so DAK parts would probably not help in making the gun an easier or quicker sale.

| I agree with blindref. I don't think it's a value add...you'd probably be better off just selling the parts outright to somebody that might be looking to convert to DAK than trying to get more money out of a "package" deal. I definitely wouldn't go out and buy DAK conversion kits to keep with a gun I already own just as an "investment" towards future resale. That would be throwing good money after bad.
Typically, I've found that when selling guns, any add-ons or extras don't really increase the price that folks are willing to pay, anyway (doesn't stop a lot of sellers from asking inflated prices, though), and especially with a niche product like a DAK trigger system, you'd have to find a very specific buyer who would consider it a desirable value-add.
I've shot DAK guns, and it's actually a pretty decent trigger system. I'd rather have a DAK than a standard DAO, but I still prefer the DA/SA trigger in the P22X guns. |

Learn it, know it, live it

| I would keep your DAK parts. You never know.. I had a special order Gen 2 P229 SAS with DAK that I converted to DA/SA and back to DAK.. You never know what your needs may be in the future.. After some CCR work and the DA/SA conversion... When I sold it, back to stock DAK with DA/SA parts.. |

That was my first thought. You're not going to get rich selling the kit so I personally would save them. Particularly if you have a collection of P239s, altering just one won't change much. |
