For $380, I'm really tempted to get one of these. I know that DAK is not longer a thing, but were there any issues with them? Does anyone know if there is any concern over parts and support in the future? I have no issue with DAO at all. In fact, I prefer it for a night/bedroom gun.

I really like those, too. I just wish they were 9mm. I guess I could convert it to 9mm. But, I now have my P228 so I feel it would be a waste of money.

I'd get their P320 over the DAK. Once you have the P320 FCU (Fire Control Unit) you can morph it into many different iterations of P320. It's a Full Size which means you can convert it to use 1911 recoil springs. And $349 is cheeep for that ! https://www.cdnnsports.com/fir...tified-like-new.html

I bought one several months ago for home defense, and I love it. I am a big fan of the DAK, and the 40S&W, so it was a no- brainer for me. Currently considering another one just because! I own a Dak, although I shoot it a little slower than other guns it's very accurate and is heavy enough to feel fine recoil wise. I think it's a good deal for the price. I bought the 400 da/SA that was exc to Like new a little while ago from CDNN. There were a few marks around the rail from a light, but otherwise it's in great shape. If you are on the fence, go ahead and buy it, you won't be disappointed.

Do it. Do it now. I purchased a P229r in .40 with a DAK trigger and it is one of my favorite pistols. Admittedly, I am a little slower with DAK (also have a p239 and P224 in DAK), but the trigger pull is smooth and noticeably lighter than standard DA/SA Sigs. Kind of Kahrish. I think with a little practice, I could (maybe) catch up with my other guns as far as speed goes. Also, the .40 is a fine round. I was on the 9mm wagon and realized that .40 was not the dog it was being sold as by the FBI. I was relieved to find out that the LE agency I work for will NOT be switching to 9mm polymer guns like the rest of the crowd.... not that there is anything wrong with them. Our armorers, who are very good, tested several ammunition brands and bullet designs and found that our Federal HST 180gr bullets out performed the 9mm versions in testing held at our range with factory reps present. We are upgrading from non railed P226 in .40 to the railed version with SRT kits installed. Officers will have a choice between E2 and standard grips and short reach or standard triggers. I'm personally excited about the small change.

Good info, Cous. Which grips are you choose for your new pistol?

Thanks, guys. Am I worried about the old/new style trigger?

That is a straight up good deal, but I think I'd like a steel gun for this one. My plastics are mostly M&P.

I apologize, Enidpd. I didn’t mean to hijack your thread.

I have shot both extensively on the same pistols and find that I shoot better with the standard, fatter, trigger. I also prefer the polymer two-piece grips. And to the OP, dont worry about it too much, as there isnt a huge difference. I just prefer the older, larger trigger. Triggers are cheap and you can usually find someone to swap them out with you. In fact, I have a few short reach triggers laying around and If you get a p229 that has a standard trigger and think you would prefer the short one, Ill send one to you as a karma.

Thank you, Kind Sir. I did all of my instructor schools with my P220 and my personal preference is without a doubt the short trigger.

I bought a P226 DAK in 40 and love it. Great HD pistol. It's my high capacity revolver with a rail. DPR

I went back and forth. I just ordered the DAK. It was less than $398 delivered and a $15 transfer. It's just silly not to. That's what I need you guys to say if my wife asks.
