Those guns are beautiful. That fancy model is minus a rail. I love the design of the Q5. I wonder how accurate the basic Q5 is ?

That wouldn't be a bad idea on Walther's part. There is a lot of interest in Mastershop SIGs. Maybe Walther can fill that niche?

You mean SIGSauer Mastershop pistols made by Walther Mastershop? Would not J.P.Sauer or Blaser make more sense instead of Walther?

Maybee, maybee not. That´s how «arabesque» style engravings looks like. It´s a classic and tradional pattern used on German guns since forever, altought I think the classic pattern of the engravings do not match the modern design of the pistol. It looks better on a classic SIGSauer desing.

The engravings have not been done in neither the Walther nor the SIGSauer Mastershop. There´s a few independent master engravers who do this jobs for them and all other German manufactures.

There is a "Forgotten Weapons" video about these guns. in the video it is stated the engraving was outsourced to an Italian firm.

I gag over the simpler crap people do with their Glocks, which frankly have nothing over these retina-burning examples. As one might surmise I'm not into such gaudy embellishments, but if they can get someone or a few someones to buy into these things of questionable taste, I guess...why not?

There’s an unarmed pimp out there somewhere, just starting out. These pistols are far too gaudy for a respectable street pimp. But a new pimp, one who can’t be too particular...maybe.

I couldn’t own one. I’d burst out laughing every time I open the safe. But some young punk pimp, one who just doesn’t know any better. There’s the ticket.

Every time I see something like this, I'm reminded of this Tommy Lee Jones line from US Marshals Big Grin:

Not my cup of tea. Guns are tools. Their beauty comes from elegant form, rather than useless filigree.

I think that my simple 9mm SIG P226 X5 Competition is the perfect X-Gun. I treated it to a Robert Burke action job and Hogue G10 grips.

Serious about crackers
