With the introduction of the Q4&Q5 SF series of pistols, people expressed an interest in high grade Walthers based on this series of guns. Looks like Walther listened: https://waltherarms.com/meister-manufaktur/

Old news, these were announced more than a year ago. The only improvement is the trigger system, which an earlier thread pointed out that several members hope transitions into the SF line of pistols. Other than that, it looks like Walther inherited the Sig Mastershop crew based on the hideous Meister designs.

Those are pure ugly! They look to me like powder coated plastic which I know they are not, but it is amazing what passes for class any more.

Ignored facts still exist |
in other news, the PPK/S is coming back.... .

Looks like Walther hired the recently unemployed SIG's German Mastershop's employees. Lol. This is from way back when Afton Arms was around. Pics are Jaymie Smolens'. Q

I don’t know... The Black Tie edition looks pretty snazzy. https://waltherarms.com/meister-manufaktur/black-tie/

^^^ Nothing wrong with the Black Tie. It's just an all stainless looking gun. The "Arabesque" is just hideous. The "Patriot", even with less engraving, is still ugly. Q

That wouldn't be a bad idea on Walther's part. There is a lot of interest in Mastershop SIGs. Maybe Walther can fill that niche? V.

You mean SIGSauer Mastershop pistols made by Walther Mastershop? Would not J.P.Sauer or Blaser make more sense instead of Walther?
Maybee, maybee not. That´s how «arabesque» style engravings looks like. It´s a classic and tradional pattern used on German guns since forever, altought I think the classic pattern of the engravings do not match the modern design of the pistol. It looks better on a classic SIGSauer desing. The engravings have not been done in neither the Walther nor the SIGSauer Mastershop. There´s a few independent master engravers who do this jobs for them and all other German manufactures.

How about let me clarify it. There is no maybe, maybe not. Doesn't matter how "classic" styling it is. To me, it is hideous. Q

The models discussed thus far are deserving of the critiques applied, but honestly, that Black Diamond edition doesn’t look too bad. ______________________________________________ “There are plenty of good reasons for fighting, but no good reason ever to hate without reservation, to imagine that God Almighty Himself hates with you, too.”

I wonder how many companies use laser engraving vs. those done by hand. I had a revolver laser engraved the other day with some initials on it and it looks amazing. It seems many older talents are being taken over by newer means but I have to give credit to those that do it the old fashioned way. The scroll work looks amazing.

Not an old talent per se, but you definitely see that in things like stippling and kydex holsters. So much more efficient to do with lasers and CNC and CAD.
