What semiauto 9mm handguns do you feel comfortable shooting +P or +P+ in?
I shot some +P through my P938 when I still had it.
I would put +P through my M11A1 with no concern.
I have never owned nor shot +P+.

I wouldn't shoot it in pistols. I did have the chance to run a box through an HK MP5-SD.
The top box is the "FL" load, used (at least it used to be) by Austrian State Police in their Glocks and MP5s. Rated +P+ but the 100 grain projectile makes for relatively mild recoil.
It's not a semiauto pistol, but I love shooting L7A1 9mm from my Ruger Vaquero Bisley Stainless w/9mm cylinder. High pressure ammo is not an issue with this setup.
I got the cylinder quite by accident thinking it was for a New Model Blackhawk. When I discovered it would not fit a Blackhawk, I was stuck with it. I then looked around for a revolver to work with this cylinder. I found this Vaquero and the cylinder dropped in perfectly.
I still need to find somebody who can polish the cylinder to match the finish of the revolver.

In 2005 I bought a P229R TT DAK. The first 2500 rounds I put through it were Speer 124+P. Remember those 250 round packs you could get for like $25 or something? The ones that said "not for LE use"? I was buying those like candy. Now 2500 rounds of +P isn't a lot but that pistol loved it. I'd fire 25 thousand rounds of +P through a P229 and not worry.

Yes - I’ve shot 9BPLE, GD 124 +P, and +P Hydrashoks through my P365 with no problems. Again - I don’t do it all the time, but have run a few mags of each carry load through the P365 to make sure it would handle them.

I have a 226 and 229, both milled slides, that started life as 40S&W and 357SIG respectively. I've run a few 9BPLE +P+ through them with conversion barrels and the 40/357 recoil springs. I've assumed that they would be able to tolerate the +P+ 9s.
+P Ammo manufactured to SAAMI/CIP/NATO specs is fine to use as a defensive round or for occasional range use. Continual use of this round will make it necessary for more frequent service on the pistol. We do NOT recommend the use of any +P+ round. This may void your warranty.
MG34_Dan, can I ask where you got that cylinder? I just started looking around for one for mine and haven’t really seen a source for those. Just a lucky one-off?

I got it on GB for around $200. But that was quite a while ago, before they starting adding sales tax. I have not seen another one since. I'm still looking for a 9mm cylinder for my stainless New Model Blackhawk. So far, no luck.

With few exceptions, any quality 9mm firearm. I am comfortable shooting NATO,+P,+P+,IMI black-tip "carbine", etc. ammo in most major brands of semi-autos, and S&W and Ruger revolvers. I did not use +P or +P+ in Beretta 92s, surplus P-38/P-1s or Lugers.

HK USP and USP Compact for sure. Only handguns I know of, where the manufacturer states in the manual, that it's OK to shoot +P+ in them.

Many years ago, while I was at a federal law enforcement training facility near Wash DC, an instructor told of 9mm ammo from Isreal, which was intended for use in the agency's UZI 9mm msg's, was used in a couple of Sig P226/P229 pistols, and said pistols suffered severe damage. Whatever loading data Isreal used for their UZI msg's I have no idea. I think a wise person would stay away from +P+ ammo if they value their Sig (or their own safety).

Well, there's this stuff, in boxes marked "carbine only", but if you look at the chrono results this guy gets, you'll see that any real ballistic advantage of that load is in longer barrels. A 115 grain bullet at 1200 and change is nothing special. The velocities he was getting out of the 16" carbine, though, were impressive. So, it's marked as a carbine load, not because it's possibly dangerously overpressure, but rather because that's what this load was designed for.
Funny, he mentions "the lore surrounding the Hirtenberger L7A1"
