The 2.0 Metal looks interesting. Not a fan of the tungsten finish but I'm sure in time S&W will release one in traditional flat black.

I handled the CSX at the LGS...if it was DA/SA I'd be all over the pistol. Still might look for a deal on one down the road.

My FIL bought a CSX, but I haven't had a chance to check it out. His EDC is a Shield. Will be interesting to shoot both together & see how they compare.

A buddy bought a CSX, and I got to shoot it some. Its a nice little gun, and shoots very well, but I don't do manual safeties on carry guns, so unfortunately it doesn't serve much practical purpose for me. This is kind of unfortunate, because I actually really like the idea of a small, metal-framed, hammer-fired carry gun...if they released this thing in DA/SA I'd very likely buy one.
The all metal M&P is kinda cool, too...neat to see them giving the idea a try. I'd probably be more likely to just get an AXG grip module for my P320s before I bought one of those, though...I've just never really been impressed by the M&P.
Thus far I've been able to resist the allure of the AXG due to the price...I've bought whole P320s for that money, and I just can't justify spending that for something that I already have in plastic that works just fine...but that doesn't mean I don't want one, and if I come across one at the right price, it will likely follow me home.

Hope they will make the M2.0 Metal Compact 3.6.

We've had the CSX in the shop for a while now, though it hasn't really done much sales-wise. I think we've sold a couple but most folks continue to grovel over the P365, Hellcat and S&W's own Shield Plus. Seems like the CSX should cater to the P938/Kimber Micro9 users, but so far it just gets overlooked by most buyers. Personally I like how it feels and operates...and it could be a "little buddy" to my EDC X9, if I ever thought to actually carry that one (nope).
The all metal (presumably alloy?) 2.0 is certainly neat, but it's just following a trend started by Walther and then copied by SIG. I have no desire for a full-size, but I wouldn't mind a 3.6" or 4" compact though, even though I won't have any 15rd mags...(sucks, this Iron Curtain thing)

Dang it. This intrigues me. I have a 1.0 that I kept because it shoots well and selling it wouldn't net much moola. I have a shit ton of mags and this thing looks like a shooter. So I already have a holster and bunches of mags. Come take my money.
I replaced my stock trigger with Apex. Is it still necessary, or way better, to do that with a 2.0?

Yes! I'm a big fan of the M&P 2.0 pistols and really like this metal frame. I have 17rd magazines and will probably get this full size since I do not have the 4.25" version of it yet. Not sure about the tabbed flat trigger, I have not tried it before.
Easily remedied with an Apex if I don't like it. I hope the factory trigger is serviceable though.

When I saw the term "Heavy Metal" earlier today, I was hopeful it really meant HEAVY METAL as in "STEEL". Walther did it with the Q4 SF and I wish that trend would continue across the handgun world, especially HK and Glock.
