By the way, I wasn't even aware of his remark until you brought it up. I can't follow every thread. And, now that I am aware of it, I'll tell you that I wouldn't lift a finger for the forum curmudgeon being his marginally provocative self.

If such a silly remark gets you and other Europeans in a lather, I suggest that perhaps you're a bit too sensitive over words. Some old guy in a country across a wide ocean from you makes a silly remark and the European continent fairly quakes, huh? Come on. Don't you have any crusty old guys in your country who just don't care anymore about "offending" others?
