I see the bumpy disassembly lever, and "it's got one more" on the model number. Smile. And night sights and a QR code sticker... Any other differences from a 228?

The SRT trigger along with a 15 round magazine instead of 13 rounds.

But you can put a SRT in a 228. All my 228 mags are 15 rounds. Yet I'm still considering picking up a M11-A1 simply because I prefer a SS slide.

Edited to add- Anyone know if a 228 mag will work in a M11-a1? I have a ton of 228 mags.

It is my understanding they will work, but may wiggle a bit.
The P228 mag and magwell is a tad narrower than the M11-A1.

Yes, they will work just fine. The extra wiggle is all but meaningless. The important part is that P228 mags are identical in the relevant section (i.e. from the catch notch up) to P229-1 mags (and so are 9mm P226 mags).

That first batch of rare stainless-frame P228s actually used the P229 Sport frame, meaning they could take P229-1 mags (i.e. they had the same mag well as an M11-A1). Yet they all came with P228 mags (probably because SIG didn’t want a P228 having anything that said “P229” on it), which worked perfectly. You might find though that you’re more comfortable with P229-1 mags for self defense because of the wiggle of the P228 mags.
