Hi all was at my local place and saw a like new 226 with original Box around 1996 date according to the serial number. I'm always open to another 226 lol he's asking 525 . My question is if this has a slide that's able to be milled for a red dot which I have to check to be sure do you think it's worth going that route vs buying a m17 or m18 that has the cut out already . I don't have any polymer guns so I thought this would be a way to get a red dot on a metal frame for around the same price of polymer your thoughts? Thanks in advance

I've done this myself. Works well, but the German Frame seems to be about .5 mm longer than the slide. Purely a cosmetic issue. "I won't engage in a battle of wits with an unarmed man."
