This is my "system" exactly!

They are all in the same nightstand drawer.

I keep mine in shoe boxes, arranged by weapons system and style (IWB,OWB)in my office walk in closet. 95%+ are all leather so I like to make sure that they get air and are never stored in plastic. My EDC favs are usually in the top drawer of my night stand and on my hip.

At seventeen boxes I recognize I have a problem with collecting shoes and holsters. I'm good with that...

Seriously though, I have mine in a couple different bins, drawers, and shelves. (So, not really organized very well at all…) I, too, have started writing what gun they’re for on the back. Some I have in their original package, but they take up a lot of room that way. Truly organizing them in a standardized storage scheme is a project I plan for retirement in a couple years.
