Super ‘Gucci’ Alien Pistol In Use With Zelensky Security Detail
The Laugo Arms Alien is a highly exotic and pricey sidearm that offers a low bore axis giving it extreme accuracy.

One of Ukraine's elite military VIP protection operators was spotted carrying a Laugo Arms 'Alien' 9mm pistol. This rare handgun features a highly exotic design that offers a very high degree of accuracy and it's also extremely expensive.
The individual armed with the apparent Alien pistol was part of the protective detail that accompanied Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and other high-ranking officials to Snake Island at the Western end of the Black Sea on July 8. Gen. Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine's Defense Intelligence Directorate, or GUR, was also among those present. We don't know who provided the protective security personnel, but GUR certainly has this capacity, as well as access to higher-end and otherwise more novel weapons and equipment...
I guess they are too good for Glocks like our Special Forces and Secret Service use at a small fraction of the cost. Then again as Para said they aren't paying for it.
Besides the fact that it is a fairly expensive option it also seems geared far more to competition and from what I have read can have some reliability issues in harder use.
I've never been in a warzone or done personal protection but I have to believe I would want simple and reliable before anything else.

Graft, nothing but graft funded by the American taxpayer. Fuck we need actual leadership in this country.
As for the gun, that guy isn't going to see any combat if he is a security detail for Zelensky. If I was going into combat and needed a sidearm I would want a Glock 19, Beretta 92, HK USP/USPc/P30, or P226. Anything else most likely would be a lesser choice to me all things considered.

That must be why distributors had a 20% discount to clear out remaining inventory in the US, as Laugo isn't sending any more over in order to fulfill these Euro contracts.

Laugo Arms USA has them and bringing in more as I type this. The new Creator model will be among them.

Got a couple and really enjoy shooting them. Got my name on a new Creator model also.
Having said all that, I’m in total agreement here. No way they should be contract pistols for armed forces in any way. The very notion just sounds ridiculous.
I am not necessarily in disagreement, but whose tax dollars are at work here? The USA or Ukraine?
We are supplying Ukraine with numerous high priced weapons platforms, but does this sponsorship really apply to security detail small arms such as the Laugo, when we could easily supply their details with HK MP5s, Glocks, SIG pistols, B&T subguns, etal? I don't think we are even supplying Ukraine with M4s or M16s. Their armed forces use AKMs, AK-74s,AKSU-74s, and AK-74 Why would we supply them with 5K handguns?
I'm not buying this.
This article NEVER SAID the US is supplying one, or any number of Laugos. We are getting ahead of ourselves if we are concluding the US supplied this pistol.
Do any US agencies use these Laugo pistols? If not I highly doubt we are supplying them to Ukraine on our dime.

No, we're giving them cash money, and then they are buying their overpriced toys with US taxpayer dollars. If Ukraine wasn't getting money poured all over them, do you think anyone would be spending 6 freaking thousand dollars on a sidearm? They're fat with cash, and that's because of us. Otherwise, that holster would contain a Glock or something like it.
You want proof? The proof is a six thousand dollar pistol.
You believe what you want. We're throwing money at these ungrateful fools and you think you're disproving something by arguing over a handgun. Go ahead and "stand with Ukraine". Each and every day, more Americans wake up to what is going on. Have fun with fantasy land.
Next thing you know, their "security forces" will be driving around in Ferraris and you'll be saying we won't know anything until we see receipts.
I am fine with Ukraine standing up against Russian invasion. However if the U.S. taxpayer is partially or more than partially footing the bill, Zelensky’s team should be armed with G17’s bought at volume discount. $6k per pistol is a ridiculous waste.
