Just because something is legal to do doesn't mean it is the smart thing to do. |
The thread P6 hurts my trigger finger. triggers this request. (no pun intended) I would like a list of all the "P" pistols. I just can't remember them all. Integrity is doing the right thing, even when nobody is looking.

If you browse this thread, most are likely there, assuming you mean 'classic' P-series. https://sigforum.com/eve/forum...0601935/m/1810019194 Off the top of my head: P210 P220 P226 P228 P229 P227 P232/P230 P239 P225/P6 P224 P245 Then there's the non-'Classic' line P250 P320 P322 P238/P938 P365 P290/290RS The Enemy's gate is down.

Glad that you remembered and included the honorable P227 (.45) On this day … 2/27 Not to be overlooked as a fine combat weapon. Never judge a man, till you have walked a mile in his shoes..... That way, you'll be a mile away from him; and you'll have his shoes.

What P pistols are you referring to specifically? There are also "P" designations for Germany's military & police pistols by several makers over the years, some of which were given to the civilian models. (examples Walther P5, Sig P6, HK P7)

Not what I wanted. What is a p6 as referred to in the thread The thread P6 hurts my trigger finger. or the p7? Integrity is doing the right thing, even when nobody is looking.

I'm confused. You asked for the "list" of all the "P" pistols in the original post. And now, it seems a different question? The P6 is the German police version of the original civilian P225 (not the P225-A1). The P6 has the hooked hammer and a stiffer trigger pull. Otherwise, they are the same. Q

It’s a German police P225. Just a few differences.

Maybe I worded it bad. I have several Sig pistols as in P226, P239, ect. So a p6 or a p7, ect denotes a different version of a P### pistol? That is what I am trying to learn. Integrity is doing the right thing, even when nobody is looking.

Like the p210 is a p49 for the Swiss military.

As noted above, the P6 is police version of P225. The HK USP9, in German military assignment, is the P8 A1. But, the HK P7 has always been just that, the P7. Of course, there are different models (P7 PSP, P7 M8, P7 M13, etc.), but, it's always P7. Same as the Walther P5. The P5 Compact, however, in the British Army's hand, is designated the Pistol L102A1. To add, Germany recently ordered some Walther PDPs as the P14/P14K.

^^^ So, they have decided that will be their new sidearm? Q

No. The P14 is specifically for the German Special Forces right now. Whether the P14 wins the contract for the general military is yet to be decided.
