I KNOW THIS IS NOT A SIG BUT THIS FORUM REALLY HAS THE BEST INFORMATION ON MANY TYPES OF GUNS.

Just picked up this very nice Llama Especial that looks almost unfired. I checked the firing pin and barrel for any signs of dry firing in the past and found none. It came with the original box, cleaning rod and two magazines that look like new.

Can any one help me out with the approximate year of manufacture and any other information you may have.

I have read some of the negative reviews of these Llama 22’s, but this was too pretty to pass up.

I did some trading but I figure I have about $300.00 in it.

The Llama seems to have similar proofmarks as a Spanish-made Star pistol.
At least from what I can see, my vision isn't very good.

I had one a long time ago. Cool little gun. Didn’t know much about firearms then and to try different things to fix issues. It constantly jammed on me.

No dates on the box but I agree it looks like it was made in 1966.

Wow you found a little time capsule.

Those Spanish guns are a little underrated.

It's certainly a pretty gun. IMO would be even prettier without the vent rib on the top of the slide, but overall it's nice and looks to be in great shape. Now the real question...does it work?

Just completely field stripped, cleaned and oiled the Llama. Everything looks like new even though it does show evidence of having been fired.

Not sure what the “555” means on the inside of the slide.




The magazines were a real challenge to put back together (about an hour each) .

Looks similar to the Llama III A .380acp I had about 4 decades ago.

Never had any problems with it, ended up selling it to get something else.

Pretty! Does it take Beretta magazines?

I know very little about Llamas but I do know that one is a very pretty gun. Enjoy it in good health.

Nah pretty sure it takes Glock mags

I've owned several Llamas and can't say I'm a big fan, but that's a neat little 22. It should make a great little fun gun.
