I've heard some good things about Primary Arms' in-store brand. One of the big shooters calls it his "Walmart SRO," and he can't break it as much punishment as he's put it through.

The SCS carry and EPS carry both use the Holosun K footprint which is basically a modified RMSC footprint missing two lugs. They come with plates to fit to standard RMSC cuts.

While neither are as low as the original open emitter SCS both have a very low profile. With the adapter plate I could still make out the top portion of stock height sights (Hellcat Pro). If the adapter is not needed while you might not get 100% co witness it should be more than workable.

I agree the auto brightness feature of the SCS series is fantastic, albeit err’s on the brighter side. The more I play with optics the more I appreciate the set it and forget it nature of the SCS with the only fiddling with brightness coming from a single press to go into “nuclear mode” for I guess the Arizona desert or snow covered sunny days or shooting at a sniper on an arena light stack. Razz. Point is, I as a layman, appreciate the who set and forget dummy resistant aspect of the SCS series, at least that is where I am at on this journey at the moment.

Honestly, I rarely adjust my optic brightness anymore. I usually have it cranked up to max or near max and just leave it there unless I'm doing some kind of slow-fire precision shooting which I'll turn it down for. For carry/duty use, I'd rather have the speed of acquisition and confidence the dot will be visible...the tiny bit of precision I might have to sacrifice to get that is more than worth the price. All that to say, I haven't found manual adjustment to be a problem.

Not sure of your build...

I'm 6'5" 195. I carry 4:00 IWB, and currently have a 507Comp, a Romeo1 Pro w/shroud, a 407k, an RMR, and a 407C. I don't see myself wanting to go any bigger than the RMR for something I'm going to stuff between my belt and my waistband. The window on the 407k is a little small so it can take a split second longer to acquire if your presentation or recovery isn't perfect, but I like how it has zero overhang. On the other end of the spectrum, the shroud on that Romeo1 will take chunks of flesh off if you're not careful. I'm looking for something in between.

The full-size EPS uses an RMR footprint, correct? I know every slide cut is different, but is the deck height on the EPS low enough to provide any amount of co-witness with standard sights, or would you need suppressor-height irons?

Both the EPS and EPS Carry use a modification of the RMSc footprint (front recoil bosses only). The standard EPS is just wider and a little taller than the EPS Carry. They can be interchanged onto the same cut.

Thanks for the clarification on that. Good to know that if I'm going to have it milled I need to make sure they leave the rear recoil bosses off.

I went with a Holosun EPS Carry on my P365X. I've got two 507C's on other full size guns and really like them. They hold zero and I haven't had any issues with any of them.

I like the closed emitter concept and the extra money is worth the peace of mind of not getting a cheeto crumb or lint ball clogging up the emitter.

I would go with the 407k. The 6moa dot is super crisp, fast on target and it should be light enough not to affect the cycling of your slide.

If my financial luck keeps going the way it has lately, and I want to get this done this year, I may end up going that route. After all the water heater, washer, and toilet problems last week, my property tax bill showed up yesterday. It never rains but it pours.

I like the 407K on my 226, and the price is really hard to beat for what you get. The lower mass of the little optic probably makes it less likely to come loose, too. I took my P320 with 507 Comp out today and by the end of the range session it was rattling around, despite plenty of torque and loctite on the screws.

Great deal at Primary Arms on the Holosun EPS Carry and SCS Carry. $400 bucks but you get $80 in bonus bucks back. I just ordered another EPS Carry MRS.

So, the LE rep that we are dealing with claims that the LE optics are held to a tighter QC standard than the commercial ones. I can’t find any markings on the boxes that differs from the ones on the shelf at my LGS.

Well, this whole project has gone straight to hell. The package arrived at my mailbox Monday cut open and empty. I immediately contacted the seller with photos and got no response. I filed reports with the USPIS and my local Sheriff's Department, and went to the local PO and showed them the box. The post office was able to pull photos from their system (apparently it takes a photo every time they scan it) which showed that the box was already cut open when it arrived at our local post office, so it didn't happen at my mailbox.

I contacted the seller and told him this, and got a response questioning why they would have delivered it if they knew it was cut open. I responded that I didn't know but asked how we were going to proceed. Further silence from the seller. I waited another day and contacted him again, providing him with all the report numbers and asking for a refund or a replacement. Still no response. All of this communication took place through the "contact seller" link on the ebay page, and it's all on record there.

Ebay says you can file a claim with them of the seller doesn't resolve the issue after three days, so I did that on Thursday. This finally prompted a response from the seller Friday morning, who changed the status to "not received", and sent me a message saying that he needed photos to issue a refund and that he had never received any communication from me, which is bullshit because he responded to the original "contact seller" thread. I re-sent the original photo of the package at my mailbox, as well as screenshots of the entire "contact seller" thread, including his responses. He's gone silent again, so I'm not optimistic I'll get any resolution from him. Ebay says he has until the 16th, so I guess I'll contact them again then and see what happens.

This whole thing has been a nightmare. I was really looking forward to this build but at this point I just hope I get my money back Frown.
