Well. I just looked at a Shadow 2 SA, a Tactical Sport and a Tactical Sport Orange. He was trying to upsell me straight to the TSO, but he wasn’t wrong. Holy balls, that gun feels like a totally different tier of quality, even over the other Shadow 2’s. I think if I’m going to stay in budget, I’ll grab the SA. If I decide to get ridiculous, I’ll grab the TSO. All thoughts of a Beretta instead have absolutely and totally vaporized.

I get it! I own a Shadow 2, an AccuShadow 2 and just bought a Shadow 2 Orange, and I can’t get the TSO out of my mind. As nice as the triggers are on my CZs, and they are very nice, the TSO trigger is just sick!!

Yeah, he told me to go ahead and dry-fire it once and it was all over after that. It really is just that much better.

Yeah, I’ve narrowed it down that far, at least. I have a job interview Friday, and depending on how that goes, I’ll either be buying a Shadow 2 SA next weekend or a TSO in a few weeks.

Smudge…I’m kind of in the same boat…leaning towards a 92x standard model and doing the upgrades myself.

Explained to my wife that there are certain firearms I’ve always wanted to have…226, G17, 92 and 1911…have the first two, had the last one and sold it, and now getting back on track. Cool

I figure an update is in order.

I was all set to go buy one or the other, and then my best friend, my brother from another mother just bought his first home. He needed to move some things quickly to come up with the last few thousand, and the cash I had in the safe became a bank transfer to him.

Once he's got the move settled and I figure out which local FFL is going to be the best to work with, my new-to-me 1943 Springfield M1 rifle and 1943 Quality Hardware Machine Company M1 carbine converted to an M3 complete with mounted scope will be on their way to me.

Guy at the gun counter said "heirloom," so I figured doubling my M1 collection wasn't a bad choice when you look at it that way. They're still making CZ 9mm's, they haven't made these rifles in a bit. Also may have just made a deal for a Kriss SPD for a price I couldn't turn down, we'll see how that shakes out this weekend. After that, I think I'll liquidate a number of guns in the safe that just sit and go ahead and see about picking up a TSO. Life is just too short. I'm taking 12131's approach to heart. From another thread, and I paraphrase: "I've sold a lot of guns I liked. I bought other guns I liked." Indeed.

Nice score! You can't go wrong with a Garand...I just picked up my second a few months ago. I don't have a carbine yet...I'm a bit jealous, but looking forward to seeing pics! Big Grin

Thanks! I got a pic of them together I can post in the meantime. The QHMC has an M2 potbelly stock, and the Springfield has some post-war birch on it. It originally had the nice walnut stock set that mine has been wearing since 2007 when he swapped them prior to sending me my current M1. They’ll get swapped back when I get these home.

There was almost an early Polytech M14 with USGI parts in the deal, but he decided to hang into that one. I would have been happy to own it, but I’m glad he kept it. Cutting too deep to where it hurts really sucks.

No, it’s a QHMC M1 with an M3 scope mount. But I’m going to call it an M3 anyway. You can be right, and I can enjoy my new carbine. How’s that?

Buddy of mine has one. He's a firearms instructor. He freaking LOVES it. His only gripe is lack of holsters for it.

^^ Are we ever going to see an actual supply of those things in the US, or are they just on the "deja obtanium" list as far as the importer is concerned?

220 Smudge, you're a better man than I am. I'm still trying to track down a Bersa TPR9 T, and I'm not sure the damned things are even in the country.
