So I’ve been carrying my G26.3 lately. I added a talon grip, Ameriglo spartan sights, and sone magpul +2 mags.

I know the G43X is supposed to be the new hotness - but this sure seems to conceal well and carry well. The talons really change the feel of the gun.

Well, most people around here know my feelings about Glocks, and my capacity in this forum as seer, sage and soothsayer of same. I hold the G26 in high regard, and that's stating it mildly.

I've long felt that a G17/G26 combination can cover your defensive handgun needs.

bcjwriter, you might consider Talon's "black granulate" grip texture. I had the rubber Talons on a G42 and they were fine on an indoor range. One day, though, I was on an outdoor range and it was hot as Hell and I was sweating pretty good. I found that I couldn't keep an adequate grip on the little G42. I switched to the black granulate and that solved the problem. Now, all my Glocks wear the black granulate Talons.

Mud, blood, sweat, water, oil, grease, soap. You never know.

Skateboard tape would do the trick, too.

Thanks! I’ll look into it!

The G26 is an easy pistol to like. I’ve owned a couple Gen3’s and a Gen4. Like a lot of guns I’ve had, I sold them to fund other things. Before I retired in 2018, I picked up a Gen5 26 while I could. While I liked the others, the lack of finger grooves is a winner for me. I just carried it today. I use the flat baseplate mag in the gun and carry either a 26 plus2 or G19 mag as a spare.

Respected Seer, Sage, Soothsayer, and Revered Boss —
Those of us with little tiny hands wish Glock would make a G43 with the width of a G43X (a G43XS?) that could take G43X / G48 magazines as backups. That would make the G43XS and G48 combination able to cover all the defensive needs. (The 365 grip is small, but it’s just not a Glock.)
Your words on granulate grips a while back got me to start trying them. The rubber grips feel so good, but the granulate ones feel so secure like the grip is stuck to your hand. I’ve gradually switched over.
Maybe I should try more time with a G26.

Para, what are your thoughts on the G27 (if you have any experience with it)? I could pick up a G27 G3 for a very good price. My PPQ M2 in 40S&W shoots well but this is a bit smaller.

I've never shot one. I don't think I'd like it.

I shot a Glock 23 once. Didn't care for it. I suspect I'd like the 27 less.

Love my 26 though. Smile

I guess, if I get it, I could buy a Lone Wolf conversion barrel if I thought it was too snappy.

Glock 27 gen3 shoot bestter than the G23 gen3 due to the duel recoil spring. I shot and carried one while working for DHS and it was better than the gen3 23's and I had no issues having decent spits. When the Gen4 Glock 23s came out I got those and I still have my Gen3 27. I sometimes carry it when I need something smaller but I just got a Gen4 Glock 26 for a song so that might be carried more.

And I was expecting “Yes, son, they will make a G43XS”?

I think you will be surprised at how it shoots.

My favorite G19 started life as a traded to me G23. Still have the barrel and slide somewhere. I need to get a 26. Never even shot one before. I assume (dangerous) that the herd recommends the Gen 5 version?

I prefer my Gen 4 a lot more than the Gen 5.

I will say the rubber grips have really eliminated the pinky pinch by keeping my fingers where they need to be…
