Greetings guys... New blood here. I am forward deployed right now but really wanted to grab one of those turn in M17's that just got released. Thankfully i was able to snatch 2 and my pops grabbed 2 also. Unfortunately I wont have hands on them until I get back stateside later this year, but I am stoked. Anyone else able to grab any? Verified the serial prefix is same as the pistols in our armory, so that makes me smile to know they share the same prefixs as current ones out there. Excited to see what some people end up getting, they lokog great in the auction pics I have been following. Seems they are going for about 1400-1500 on GB, but saw 2 go for almost 2K. ALso saw a sequential serial numbered pair go for $6k. (#21 and #22).
I am kinda new to sig pistols as I only have one other, a minty Sig P6.

Only SIG shooters balk at the M17 Surplus prices. Perhaps because one can buy P320s for much, much cheaper. But collectors recognize the inherent investment value in these pistols. Count me in!

I think it's way to early to talk about these as an investment. Right now I would call it speculation, unless you are selling it right now.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ There are better investments than guns. It is true that there always seem to be a market but it is subject to supply and demand like anything else. The controversy concerning the value of the original Pythons is a good example.

Let me rephrase that. I actually didn’t mean as something to resell, I don’t really sell guns once acquired. Is $800 a good price to purchase one of these weapons? I do not own a 320, and this would seem to be a cool one to have. I am a shooter and “acquirer” not a seller, lol. Just ask my wife.

I'm in the same boat. I bought one for $695 + tax, but plan on shooting it. When you see its condition you'll understand why I'm not concerned
