Was reading this thread this morning, then saw one at my local gun shop for $899 in the 30## range. Went ahead and picked it up - no hesitation shooting it given its’ condition. Shoots like a military pistol (definitely not like a target pistol), had 1 FTE in the first 50 rounds, numerous scratches on the frame and the slide, and the coating on the left hand side is already wearing thin from the holster.

It is what it is - a firearm that has a story behind it, but some wear and tear at the hand of Private Snuffy (which I think just adds character), and if you purchase a firearm for the story, at least these are certified authentic
