XLTLooking for an RMR sight and I know nothing about them.
SIG Romeo X Enclosed Compact is what I'm putting on my 365 legion, when they come out. I love the 365 legion so much I might buy a second one just for the hell of it.

I posted this here because in the lounge I think I would get a lot of advice from people who don’t actually own an RMR. I’m looking for really good, fact based knowledge like I received in my 365 Legion thread. I’m hoping to get a lot of answers.
This will be on a concealed carry pistol and will only be used for self defense. (Aside of range days where it will only be shot at 10 yards or less. More likely 7 yards.)
I’ll also say I don’t know anything about RMR sights. Literally nothing. I looked through one on a friends gun, but it was the cheapest thing he could buy (his own words)
I have always wanted a Trijicon ACOG for my rifle, but I was very generously gifted an Aimpoint Pro from a forum member.
I will spend the $$$ to get the best as I am basically building my grail pistol. I have always had an affinity for Trijicon, but are they really the best?
I have been looking at all the Trijicon RMR. I like the idea of battery free and getting a dual illuminated that uses tritium and fiber optics for a battery free experience.
The dual illuminated is only available in a 9 MOA dot. (Might be best for my eyesight)?
The battery powered has 3.25, and 6. The 1 is too small. Is battery powered the way to go?
I have to use readers 2.75 for anything within 6 feet of me. After 6 feet my vision is pretty fantastic. I just can’t see anything close without it being blurry.
I feel that the 9 MOA would be easy to acquire and easier to see and put on target without glasses, as in a self defense situation, I’m most likely NOT wearing my readers.
What do all of you with knowledge and experience have to say?
I put a Holosun 507K X2 on my X-Macro. It’s a direct fit and does not require removal to change the battery. What I really like about it is that it’s a configurable 2 MOA dot. For me, 9 MOA would be way to big - I personally wouldn’t go beyond 6 MOA for a dot only sight.
I use the dot+donut mode, which is a lot like the EOTech “donut of death”. For that, 2 MOA is awesome.
The other thing I really like about the 507 is that it has a configurable auto-off time and “shake awake” to turn it on when it senses motion. That makes it pretty much set and forget.

Stormin, you just sold me with the “donut of death”. That’s something my lame old eyes can see!

The EPS carry, SCS carry are both smaller footprint and would likely allow for co-witness with stock sights. Both offer the multi reticles although I believe the EPS also comes in a cheaper dot only version.
The circle and circle dot are very easy to pick up.

ChowserI'm probably going to order the SCS Carry. I think it comes in green only.

I THINK all the SCS models are green only, but they have shown Red SKU’s so maybe at some point.
That said. I prefer green, I think.
