I'm not much into pimpin'...I'm more utilitarian and like something I can carry. My P245 is my favorite classic Sig, and I'd love one in 10mm...kind of a Sig alternative to the Glock 29.

If money was no object, I'd have Bruce Gray custom build a stainless P220 Compact chambered in 10mm...no rail, 25lpi front strap checkering, night-lights, and a full action job. It would be unique, a little flashy but not too overboard, and still a practical carry option.

Pimp hate me. Me hate pimp back.

That having been said there is a part of me that would be utterly captivated to have a gun done in 'Super Black' (aka Vantablack) finish, which absorbs something like 99.5% of all visible light hitting it. No ability to read detail (or defects, for that matter) whatsoever...at least for the human eye. For ease of use, perhaps have the trigger and remaining controls done in some matte color easier for the eye to pick up, maybe a deep ODG or very dark gray. Should be positively eerie-looking, I'd think. Not a literal 'ghost' gun really, but more like an ultimate 'spectre' or 'shadow' gun. Gets that sinister vibe down pat.

Option #1 - Blue Velvet

P220 in high polish stainless

5” barrel of polished stainless with faceted locking block

It would have charcoal blued controls and charcoal blue night sights with serrated rear faces to cut down on glare

Front sight would have an orange ring and rear would have no rings around the dots

DA/SA trigger to be a traditional P220, with high quality trigger job and SRT, finished in charcoal blue

Rosewood or Oak grips with checkering and my initials

Charcoal blue grip screws

Charcoal blue recoil spring rod

All visible pins in charcoal blue

Option #2 - The Damascus

P220 with Damascus steel slide and gray oxide frame

5” barrel finished in gray oxide

It would have gray oxide controls and night sights with serrated rear faces to cut down on glare

Front sight would have an orange ring and rear would have no rings around the dots

DA/SA trigger to be a traditional P220, with high quality trigger job and SRT, finished in gray oxide

Dark gray G10 grips with checkering and my initials

Gray oxide grip screws

Gray oxide recoil spring rod

All visible pins in gray oxide

Redo/customize a P226 like the Honor Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier: No rail, same innards and workings of the P226 Legion, with the gloss and finish of the Honor Guard's P320s.

Pimps be damned! A P220, all stainless, action job and nickel controls. I've owned it for years.

I so want to say folded slide 228, my first love.

But, once I trained enough with it my 226 in 9 became very comforting. I would love to give mine the full tilt boogie spa treatment from Bruce and the gang and then have one of the new deep black coatings applied to it but I have no desire to have my pistol gone for 9 months...

Would love to train with it again but not until the bump drill is gone...

wish I could make a picture of it:

Something like a big old dessert eagle in 45acp gold plated with jewels incrusted in the frame and I really like the idea of a clear see through grip.
