Well, there's always one miserable critic, you having 100 posts and all. I'll take your criticism into consideration.

If you think you're angry now, wait until Sunday when I post up shooting the 3".

Not angry at all. Just an observation and opinion. Just curious, what does the number of posts have to do with anything?

Not angry at all. Just an observation and opinion, and in retrospect the criticism was not constructive so for that I apologize. You might want to seek out some more informational range reports so you can provide some more meaningful data. Just curious, what does the number of posts have to do with anything?

Well, your rude opinion is not welcome.

You are more than welcome to refrain from ever commenting in my threads ever again.

So says the “expert”.

Good to hear you like yours Mars. I have the 4.25 in also and I am very happy with the trigger and finish.

I traded in my 80's King Cobra long ago on a shotgun and regretted it. This is it's replacement and it is much nicer.

I like the look of the 6 inch one but I prefer the balance of the 4 inch one. You guys would say buy both but that’s not going to happen. Lol The other problem is my son loves The Walking Dead so he wants me to get the 6. Ugh

I shot the three inch and it produces epic fireballs of muzzle flash. 14gr of 2400 shoving a 124gr jhp is pleasant, but fun.

However tunacan has seen to it that I most certainly will not be posting the video.

That's too bad. Frown

Maybe our new expert can provide us with a range report suitable to his liking?

My FIL has a new Colt King Cobra w/3" barrel. I've shot it, and, despite all of the negative postings about the new Colt "snake" guns, this one id definitely a good shooter. Marzy - keep on shooting and liking. I appreciated your report!

I also enjoyed the video and would have liked to have see another one. Nevertheless, it is what it is. I am still interested in either the 3" Python or a S&W Model 19 Carry Comp.

I am wondering about the trigger on the Python. I had a Colt Night Cobra that just felt wrong in my hand. Also, the trigger was good except for some stacking that seemed to be inconsistent and,, if I recall, the trigger return spring seemed to be somewhat light and might cause a failure to fire if you did not completely release the trigger.

These days I would be confident of purchasing a S&W 19 Carry Comp on line since I already have a Model 66-8 Combat Magnum that the Performance Center worked on, and I know what to expect with the trigger pull, etc. However, without handling the Python I would be hesitant to purchase one online. Do you or anyone else have an opinion on either or both?

Thanks for the review.

Glad you got it out to the range, Marzy, and that it lived up to the hype! Sorry some people never learned that if they can't say something nice they shouldn't say anything at all.

I enjoy your videos...it's fun to watch you shoot some stuff that I'll likely never have the opportunity to shoot myself (I really enjoyed the Martini-Henry and the pinfire revolver videos, and how you explained the reloading process on that one...I'd never really understood how pinfire worked until watching your video), and it provides a little vicarious fun as you're always upbeat and enthusiastic about it. Based of my experience shooting lesser acquisitions in the past, I'd likely be downright giddy shooting my new Python for the first time Big Grin!

If you ever decide to reconsider and post a video with the 3", I know there are plenty of us here who would love to see it. But even if you don't, keep enjoying it!
