Springfield Loaded. Bought it used and the previous owner swapped the ambi safety for a single sided, and installed a better fit grip safety. It started out parkerized, and I sent it to CoyoteKiller for a moly-resin treatment. It looks as good as a factory finish to me. Wilson Combat Bulletproof GI guide rod, and recoil spring plug. STI lightweight aluminum trigger. VZ Operator II Zebra grips. My absolute favorite gun to shoot, and my favorite one to show off. Looking at a DW Valor with the Duty finish as my tax return gun. Someday... ****************************** May our caskets be made of hundred-year oak, and may we plant those trees tomorrow.

Do it Q. I just picked a 1911 up a few weeks ago. I have a thing for single stacks though. I'd rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I'm not.

colt custom shop rollmark blurry and custom shop commander both guns mostly the same. both started out as large roll mark 1991 models. had them do gold cup style front strap serrations. short steel trigger with arched MSH the full size has a lanyard ring MSH the full size has gold bead front site with black out rear the commander has night sights. both have custom rollmarks on the new slide, beveled mag well, lowered and flared and NM barrel fitted commander has full beavertail, full size has amore traditional grip safety. both have right handed safety only, no ambi. sent each one in separately and waited a year or so each.

https://imgur.com/VsprMSM Here's mine. Series 70. Brass front bead sight and black rear. Shoots very nicely. Still need a few hundred more rounds and some SD ammunition before I'll carry it. I'd rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I'm not.

My Plain Jane S&W 1911, I didn't have a lot to spend when looking for a 1911. Ended up with a sweet deal on a great pistol. God bless America...and no one else

That's called a heavy slide bevel and is an aesthetic enhancement (slight weight reduction) only. It does not allow for the slide to cycle with the thumb safety engaged. "If the wind is not against you, it is not blowing."

Yes the CZ pistol. There is a Member here with a very early National Match Colt which is a heart throb of a 1911. Maybe it will get posted up.

How do you like your CZ? I have thought about getting one (and I need another 1911 like I need another hole in my head.) Fine-looking pistol!

Hard if not impossible to come by NIB these days. CZ discontinued the gun for a while now, back in 2015. Per our old rep the rumor was the production costs were encroaching into Dan Wesson-like territory, not where CZ originally wanted the gun to be at.
