Here’s some more pertinent take from someone who actually owns one and has run 100 flawless rounds…

It's a single stack not one of those double stack Glocky gizmos.

Careful now. Starting to sound like a Glock fanboy. lol

How many threads do we need on this gun exactly?

I hand a 1911 X Full the other day. I was actually really impressed with it. The trigger was a pound or so heavier than I like on a 1911, but still a solid pistol.

We finally got an example in into the shop, albeit in a more 'normal' black finish. It looks pretty okay, in that SIG Sauer kind of way. Unlike past SIG 1911s who derived their slide shapes and details from the P226 or P220, this is very P320F...or I guess the P226 X-Five I suppose. Keeps it in the family. You either like it or you don't. I do kind of like it.

That said, the Tisas 1911 Duty which also showed up recently and is positioned above the SIG in the pic just looks cleaner, and it's not at all worried about being a comfortably sub-$500 gun vs the fancy pants 1911X at triple the price, because Tisas could teach SIG a thing or two about how to make a very sweet and smooth operating 1911 trigger. One would think that a gun that plays in that $1500 ballpark would have a reasonably nice trigger, but this particular 1911X out of the box doesn't. As is, it won't hold a candle to the Tisas' wonderfully clean and precise-feeling bang switch. Who would've thunk this only a few short years ago?
