Been spending a little time with it. Starting to like it a bit more. Besides I need a carry piece for traveling to a state with a mag. ban. So this meets that criteria.
I asked about this a year ago but am wanting to revisit. Thinking I want to go with a sight. Not overly fond of the factor combat sights. Mine has the bump outs with the two screws for mounting.

I do not want to spend a bunch of $ but do not want junk either. Where does that land me? It will be a holster weapon.

Thanks guys.

Romeo X enclosed compact would be my choice.
Assembled in the US is better than full Chinese made.
It’s enclosed and compact.
Lifetime warranty and no need for taller sights.

I concur with Black92X. I got to handle one of those a couple of weeks back and was very impressed. It'll probably be my next optic purchase. The only thing I'm not sure about is if it will co-witness with standard height sights on an MOS plate. It does nicely in the native Sig cut on a P365.

$500 Eek

ah, no.

If that is the case I will upgrade my sights to something better than the factory combat sights for a fraction of that kind of $

I like the Holosun 507K. Those run around $300. If you want a really cheap but decent optic, here’s a Swampfox Liberty for $100 bucks…

A Holosun 507k is a good option for a 48mos. I would look into one of those. On sale, I have seen them under 300.

Talk to Brad (DaBigBR) here on the forum. He can get you a really good deal on Holosun stuff, and maybe other brands as well.

This is my exact setup for my G48 MOS. Great combination.

I was never a fan of the normal thicker Glocks but I love the feel of the G48. Don’t forget those Shield 15 round mags!

Think I may order an Ameriglo range fiber optic sight set for $40 from Brownells.

That would be an improvement from the factory combat sights I am guessing.

not willing to invest $350-500 for a holographic sight at this point.

You can get a Holosun 407K for under $200. The main difference between the 407 & 507 is that the 507 offers multiple reticles. If you're OK w/ just a plain 6MOA dot, then the 407 will suffice.

A Swampfox Liberty requires an RMR footprint adapter plate, as it's designed for compact & full size guns.

As 92fstech posted, check w/ SF member DaBigBR on pricing. His website is:

I have the Williams low profile defense set on my 43 and I like them very much.

For CC use, ‘low probability’ carrier, is this extra sight necessary?

Don’t mean to derail, seems CC probabilities are very short range, then you have desires for CC.

Yes, I understand an upgraded sight can be very helpful, 15 yards at the range.

That's probably where it's going to see the most use.

Makes more sense to me to set it up so it's good at everything, rather than leaving it just good enough at something that will probably never happen.

I’ve had great luck with Ameriglos. They make a nice “Hackathorn type” with a blacked out rear and big bright front that work great for me and are also fairly inexpensive. (As much as anything in this world is anyway. Wink)

Dawson Precision or 10-8 Performance sights are my preference. Black rear and either fiber optic or tritium front.

I have a 407k Holosun on a G48 with an CHPWS plate and I’m about $250 into the red dot setup.

I really like it.

If you really want to enjoy it, try some 147gr ammo loads in it. Very nice to shoot compared to the 115 or 124 gr loads. I use a reload with a Berrys 147gr bullet for practice and Federal 147 HST for carry.
