COLT 1911 Goverment Model - Final Factory Assembly Video
I found this interesting. With my fat fingers, I have difficulty installing the small parts into a stripped 1911 receiver - let alone a nearly assembled pistol with the grips already attached. I can only imagine how many Government Models this woman has assembled over the years.

That was a cool video. It should be titled "I came to kick ass and chew bubble gum!" though.

I really hope those barels were pre-fitted to the slide and the slide pre fitted to the frame. If they are all just non fitted "parts" then that's going to be a pretty loose gun and likely not the most accurate.

It's possible they machine everything to "drop in" but the 1911 design doesn't really lend well to that.

Almost certainly drop in for what looks to be a basic 1911.

But in a modern manufacturing environment that's completely acceptable and well within the tolerances of a 1911. I've seen WWII guns that rattle still shoot 2.5" groups. The 1911 is a pretty accurate platform even when not hand fitted.

Thanks for posting.

Anyone else get the feeling the lady can shoot those .45’s as well as she assembles them?

I just want to know her trick for dropping the sear and disconnector in the back and having them line up perfectly for the pin, first try.
