Anybody have one? What are the differences?

Does the le version have the X-ray 3 sights?

What do you think of it?

I’m torn between the le legion and the m11a1.

LE = black Nitron, non-logo plain checkered G10 grips
Non-LE = Cerakote (green-gray), L medallion checkered G10 grips

Those are the differences. Everything else is same.

This is for the P226 and P229. The P220 Legion LE does not come optic ready.

They both are incredible handguns - the epitome of 226-ness!

The P229 LE Legion model, like the P226 LE Legion, comes in both optics ready and standard (non-optics ready) design. Optics ready is thus a non-distinguishing characteristic.

My opinion, and we know what that is worth:

If they take away the 'legion' color, which I like, and the logo on the G10 grips then in my opinion it is no longer a Legion.

Very interesting. I did not know that the P229/P226 Legion LE came without being optic ready, and I have never seen one. Do you have any more information about this. Maybe a pic or a model number? Thanks.

If you take them out and examine them under a microscope, you'll see a tiny chip that I can only assume will both let the gov.'t track you and will go off in your hand if they choose to detonate it. The fact that one member doesn't consider guns without the logo "Legions," it is likely that he is a fed. Also, the LE version is slightly more accurate as the chip is only in one grip so the balance is slightly off. But, each to his own.

The logo's on the Legion are a way for the Gov.'t to keep track of their guns. It's known in certain circles that people who buy guns with too much branding or other fru fru's, aren't old school patriots. The Gov.'t within the Gov.'t has lumped these folks in with ZEV owners as potential progressives and want's to keep track of them. Simple as that. So, the difference in the two models is that the Gov.'t is keeping track to people who purchase too many logos believing them likely progressive wannabe patriots and they are keeping track of them. The gov.'t within the gov.'t doesn't trust these folks and the old school guys who but the LE (logo free) guns don't trust the gov.'t. You likely don't know the code for the secret web sight that explains it or the secret handshake of the either the gov.'t within the gov.'t or the LE owners who have a secret handshake and a de-coder ring. If you are still reading, you realize that you can't get these minutes back.

Ok, I think this is some sort of attempt at humor. Either that or you have been smoking some powerful stuff. Smile

Well, both. There isn't much difference. Just cosmetic. I have the LE version and love my SAO version.

"Attempt" being the operative word here.

This is the internet... can't see grins, smirks, facial expressions, winks, tongues in cheeks, or hear laughs or subtle vocal changes... even some long time members manage to regularly miscommunicate/ misunderstand each other, and newer members are even tougher to 'read'.

I was beginning to think that Walther Dude was a second forum account for Tirod or Blume9mm.

I'm still going to file the forum waiver refund form requesting 3 minutes back after reading Walther Dude's posts in this thread. Big Grin

There is a reason the forum software has emoticons (emojis) available... learn them, know them, love them. Wink

The newest Legion is shown to come with an optic plate, just like the LE version.
