Does anyone have an idea how many of these stainless slide pistols were made with no rail?

Sorry Udo, no UU serial number.
I do have this "U" serial number stainless, rail-less beauty however. I called Sig back in the day and was told less than a hundred, probably 50 or less.

I always thought the answer was zero because UU P226s have U.S. made frames and I always believed U.S. made P226 frames all had rails.

Not sure.
My UU has the rail.

I had a UU 226. Bought it used probably 15 years ago. It was a 2 tone, plain Jane, no rail, no tail.

Stainless slide, aluminum frame. Came with restricted 15 round mags but may be wrong. No box 9mm

In full disclosure, after your comment (and .38suppersig) I made a phone call. Was on the road at 0530 Monday for a three hour round trip over two ridges into Eastern timezone to make a private purchase of that pistol so we could have a reference photo. I‘ve been quite impulsive the last couple of weeksThis message has been edited. Last edited by: Udo,
