The Beretta 9000S, Berettas first polymer pistol and hands down, their worst. Terrible ergonomics and a lousy trigger. It definitely belongs in the “what were they thinking?” file.

Ruger SR9. A complete turkey. I owned one and sold it as soon as it came back from Ruger.

If I remember correctly the Colt AA2000 was my first 9mm auto and to me it was a decent gun. Fairly accurate, never failed to fire, fit my hand perfectly, looked good, price was affordable so all in all a good gun from my perspective. I ended up selling it when I started thinned the herd and got a good price for it.

It was a well-made, all-steel Italian service pistol, but it failed to win any large military or police contracts and it was released at a bad time for any commercial success as well. As a result, it never reached high production numbers.

A number of similarly good Spanish pistols from Star and Astra suffered similar fates.

I've seen precisely one, at a gun show. Very odd gun. It was produced for an unknown (to me) large eastern European police agency who then reneged on the deal, so CZ found themselves having to unload it. Contrary to appearance, the sample I examined was almost subcompact in size, between the RAMI and 75 compacts. (They might have made different sizes.) The weird object on top of the slide, behind the ejection port, was a slide racker, to be hooked on one's belt or hard object. The trigger, a type of DAO, supposedly, according to accounts, felt like a staple gun. The strange "cantilevered" rear sight might have been an import points thing; some are shown with a fixed sight.

Well, that's certainly one way to tell folks you've never carried a P7 as a duty weapon.

I carried a P7 for several years as a duty weapon and never ran into the issue you've described

One comment was made regarding the Glock 44.

What’s the consensus here? I have one, S-I-L has one. Have sold a bunch of them at work. Basically a Model 19 trainer.

Cen Rainey it’s only a ten round magazine but Glock now offers fifteen round magazines for it.

Two gripes, no threaded barrel and optic cut like the Sig P322 has. Not insurmountable in either case.

Going back to the mid 90s but:

I had the 9mm which was a small pistol for its day (think 365 sized but single stack) but absolutely horrible reliability.

I had a pair of CZ-100s, got them in partial settlement of a debt. Except for the trigger, they were good guns. I believe the original contract was for a K9 unit patrolling a border. The hook was for belt charging, as stated. The trigger was like winding an alarm clock, you got the same "click click" feedback you do with the clock. Once I got used to the trigger, men were very accurate. Eventually some collector decided he wanted them, took both because I had two variants, adjustable and fixed sights.
