I know the guns have been discontinued for several years now but I have acquired a couple of Sig 232s recently each with one mag. Anywhere to pick up a couple of spare mags?

You could always take a chance on Pro-Mags. Sometimes they work ...

Unfortunately, the supply is in private hands and there has been a reluctance to give them up. Demand is high and supply is low but they can be had on eBay for a price. $75 per mag is a decent price as they get to $100 pretty consistently. I’ve let a few go to members here for below market in the past but hold tight to my current inventory. Maybe you will get lucky and have a member here willing to let a couple go at some point.

Nooooo!!! Sticking a brick in your mag well would work about as well. Ebay and Gunbroker would be my go-to options for the real deal. I was lucky and grabbed 5 mags for my P230 back in the day. Buy once, cry once.

What sucks is that, due to the crazy pricing on these mags, there may not be much of a choice for many folks.

You don't find many left for less the $100 and I would use that as a beginning price point. Also try Gunbroker but some of those prices are hideous.

The other pitfall of P23X magazines is that there isn’t a new production spring available. Any carry guns would be best run with the last production SS mags.

That makes the secondary market an even worse proposition.

MECGAR needs to ramp up production.
