John,

I hope all the gentle ribbing comes across as us being glad to see someone interested in not just Sigs but firearms.

Hope you’re liking them, the forum as a whole won’t be upset if you branch out into other manufacturers either!

Some folks around here even buy Glocks.

Yea, the P220 Legion is a fine firearm, love it, never selling it. I took it to the range only 4 times in the last 6 months or so, shot some 800 rounds through it and I'm still not shooting small groups but it's a fun challenge to get there. I'm thinking another thousand rounds or so and I'll get there.

The P226 Legion SAO is also amazing, I shoot much tighter groups with it and the SAO trigger is a dream. I didn't like the optics as much as I thought I'd like it (never shot with rds before and don't like turning it off and shooting through it, it gets dirty and just feels weird, could be my eyesight going to shit too) so I bought another slide without optics from Sig so I could shoot both whenever I want without taking off the optics.

I see you shot the P226 X-Five, I'd looove to shoot that gun, looks great. Not sure if they sell the version with 10 round magazines (which is abomination I know). Might have to start saving for that one too in the future when the prices get closer to the MSRP or a tad below. I kind of set my mind on Walther Q5 Match SF next (wanted to order the DPT for it already, even though I don't own it, but it's out of stock all the time) and PDP FS in 5" after it, but we'll see. I think I might be addicted too. :-)

That 226 X-Five was amazing, I tried it twice on Saturday. I almost went back to the Expo on Sunday just to try it again but I didn't have time.

What I'm wondering now - since I still have sticker shock over the X-Five - is how the trigger pull compares on the 226 Legion SAO. I guess a trip to the store is in order.

No worries, Otto, I opened this thread with tongue firmly in cheek! Let the ribbing continue!

What's a Glock? Sounds like something you'd throw at somebody. Wink

I do have a Springfield 1911 and an S&W .357 as well.

Take care, shoot safe and enjoy them in good health.

I guess I should have snatched up that P220 when I saw it, seems like they are locally scarce now (well..a certain guns dot something site has one, but the price is insane). You're fortunate you got one when you did!

However....

I did give in and buy a P226 XFive Classic from Berelli (that site rocks, BTW). Picked it up at my FFL on Thursday. It is AWESOME!

And that makes number 8....

I've been feeling the opposite lately. Thinking about culling my collection down to just one striker platform and keeping 2 compacts and 2 full sized pistols.

Thanks! I've taken it out twice so far. Beautiful. As accurate as my 1911. The trigger is beautiful, but very sensitive (not a bad thing). I measured it at about 3.75 lbs. The first day I took it out, I broke my shots twice before I expected (safely of course) but no issues the second trip. Just needed to get used to it.

Very nice

I have one and it shoots as well as my Mastershop X Series pistols...well maybe not as well as the X-Six Super Match, but close.

You know as well as I do that you haven't shot all those.

You buy 2K+ pistols for the photos.

Shot every one other than the P220 X Six that I haven’t gotten around to yet. The L1 model I’ve owned since I bought it new in 2007. Several thousand rounds through it.

To be honest, Sig Mastershop guns aren’t regular shooters for me these days. I shoot my 1911’s and 2011’s much more, along with several others.

I thought I was keeping my Sig Handgun addiction a secret from my wife until I realized all she had to do while in our basement storage area was to turn around and look up...

Oh, now I get it!

I have a bunch of those cases "discreetly stored" in my garage as well. Not as many as you, though.
