I'm looking to buy a Dead Air Mojave 9 as I'm looking to suppress my P226 Elite. The issue is I don't have a threaded barrel yet and Sig is sold out of all their factory barrels. Does anybody have first hand experience with Silencerco threaded barrels? Or the Zev (though not really a fan of the dimples on that one). Several sites she you can order an Sig threaded barrel, but the ETA is sometime next summer. Thanks.

Bauer claims to have the Sig barrel in stock. https://www.bauer-precision.co...-5x1lh-thread-pitch/ I am pretty sure the barrel I have in my 226 is an AAC. I got it for stupid cheap a long time ago and it has worked just fine with my AAC TiRant. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. Thanks, I can use the LH thread pitch and just swap in a different piston for the Dead Air. That could work, appreciate the link.

^^^^^^^ I am a traditionalist and that is how all my Sigs are threaded. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. I will be your brother, and I'll hold your hand. You should know I'll be there for you!

I have the SiCo threaded barrel for my 92FS and with my limited use so far, it’s been great. I actually want to pick up a threaded SiCo P226 barrel because I want to stay with 1/2x28 instead of reverse threaded metric. ______________________________________________ "If the truth shall kill them, let them die.” Endeavoring to master the subtle art of the grapefruit spoon.

I've been using the factory sig threaded barrels, SiCo barrels, Storm Lake and Gemtech offerings....all equally as good as the others in Sigs, Berettas, 1911s and Glocks in my experience. I'd suggest scooping at least one of them up soon, before the supply gutting that will occur Jan 1. Supply of suppressors and their associated extras will be drained for a good bit I'm predicting. It's already starting on some levels, in spite of manufacturers previously ramping up production in anticipation.

I am not a fan of the LH threads on the standard Sig barrels. The issue is the can to booster mount threading is RH, and with the mount to barrel threading is LH, it is a pain in the rear to keep everything tight. If you are dedicating the can to LH pistols, you can threadlock the mount to the can. But otherwise, I found myself at the range constantly tightening one, which loosens the other… So I stopped doing that. I recommend a 1/2-28 right hand threaded barrel. Then you can grab the pistol and the barrel and crank them both down at once. You can get them from Bar-Sto. They may be in stock, but if you order from them, my experience is that it’s typically two month or so wait. Not bad, all in all. Not sure if the other barrels out there are available in right hand threads.

^^^^^^^^^ I guess I am not shooting enough as I have not had an issue with the cap of the can coming loose nor has the booster started unthreading from the barrel. Threading the barrel to the booster has no effect on the cap threading to can itself. Unless I am misunderstanding that you are saying threading your booster to the barrel causes your cap to come loose from the can? ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad.
