Having issues with the 42 mags not feeding. Only happens with our old FMJ ammo. JHPs cycle fine. The old FMJ runs fine in OEM mag. Will get some decent/newer FMJ to try the 42 mag again.

So it's been hit or miss for me.

31 round 17/19/26 mag, works great.
43 mag, works great.
24 and 30 round .40 cal mags, NOPE
42 mag, most of the time.

I've run three kinds of fmj through the 12 round G42 magazine I purchased- CCI Blazer Brass 95 grain, SIG-Sauer Elite Performance 100 grain (this is a flat point projectile), and Black Hills 100 grain (this load uses the Hornady 100 grain bullet). All three loads fed normally through the magazine.

I have several of their 31 rd and 22 rd Glock 9MM mags. The 31 rd mags have been 100% fine. The mag springs in the 22rd mags died after only a few uses. I emailed them and they stated they had a bad batch of springs. They sent me new springs for the 22 rd mags which were much stronger and have been good to go so far.

To be honest, I am not all that impressed with their mags. They get a mehhh from me. I will buy some 42/43 mags to try just for the hell of it though.

I found three for my G42 this past Sunday, perhaps Monday I'll get to try them. One 7rd., one 9, and one 12; salesman had to go into the stockroom for these as what was out on the display rack had been scooped up. I have fresh Remington FMJ, and Sig V Crown JHPs to try them out with.

Received my 2 G42 (7 and 9 rd) mags today. Mag bodies are solid and I don't get the flimsy impression some mention here. You can grab the front of the follower when it's empty and tilt it, then again why would you do that on a regular basis.

Yeah the springs seem funky when you load them, simply because you see it happen in these mags.

Function is the true and only real test for me, hope to get to the indoor range tomorrow to try them out.

It's mostly a love or hate these mags, so far the G19 mags are great for me.

Of my three 9 round G43 mags, one had a spring that would kink and get hung up when fully loaded. I called ETS and they were quick to send me a new spring. I installed the new spring about two weeks ago. With the new spring installed, I loaded the mag and stuck it in the range bag.

I finally made it to the range today, and put 110 rounds through the 9 round mags with zero issues. This was using 124 NATO spec ammo. I need to test the mags with some carry ammo next, but I'm not sure when that will happen.

Overall, I'm pleased with the ETS mags and thier quick service to resolve the issue.

Got some Winchester .380 95gr. FMJ in (Q4206). The 42 mags work just fine now.

Finally got a chance to get some shooting done with my G42/43 and ETS magazines. With all the rain and heat this month, going to the outdoor range has been off the table - so I splurged and went to our indoor range for an hour during the workday to skip the crowds. There was only one other person plus the RSO on the lanes - thankfully they allow you to shoot as fast as you want and aren't your typical tools, so the mags and pistols got a good checkout with aimed rapid fire.

My G42 is stock aside from a Pearce plug, Pearce extension on the ETS 7-round magazine, Vickers Slide stop, and Ameriglo Pro Idot sights. The G43 is similar but came with Ameriglo Hackthorn sights. I have two each 7 and 9rd magazines for each pistol.

I shot 150-160 rds through each pistol - for the G42 it was 100 rds of Fiocchi 380 FMJ and 50rds of Fiocchi and Hornady XTP. The G43 got 100rds of Speer TMJ and 30 each Speer 124GR +P GDHP Short Barrel / Federal 147gr +P HSTs.

I only had 2 malfunctions with the G43 and none with the G42. One G43 failure was simply a failure to lock the slide back on the last round which was me riding the slide stop with one of the 9rd ETS magazines The second was with one of the ETS 7-rd mags, loaded 7+1 w/ Speer TMJ. That particular magazine is a real bitch to load to 7 and I'm sure that tightness slowed the slide velocity enjoy to cause a failure to extract the first shot, with the spent casing out of the barrel but still in contact with the breechface. The second 7-rd magazine functioned fine with the 7+1 configuration. I think breaking the mags in will help a bit with this but if it continues I'll contact ETS for corrective action.

Overall I'm happy with the ETS G42/43 magazines. With the G43 & 7-rd ETS magazines I found the Pearce extension an almost 'must have' to get quick follow up shots (regular sized hands). It helps with the G42 but isn't as needed due to the lower felt recoil.

So who is using these as the primary mag concealed carry in a G42 or G43?

I have just shy of 500rds through my G42 and am now using a 7 and 9rd magazine for carry and reload with it.

And I plan to do the same with the G43 when I get some more rounds through the pistol as a whole (first time shooting it yesterday).

For my G19, I use OEM 15rd in the weapon, OEM 17rd reload, but have 22rd ETS as 'bag' reloads.
