Came across a P320 at the Local Pawn Shop that looks "AS NEW" for $400, Had to Buy It!! It's a compact & has two 15 round magazines the holster, case & a chamber flag + lock New to these guns & know very little, SO FAR! Want the smallest grip module I can get for this pistol & it currently has a medium Can't seem to find what I'm looking for as I'm sure the smallest shortest frame modules are what everyone would want A Factory grip module would be fine IF it was the smaller one BUT? The gun shop had two of the small frames in their SIG display but none for sale, The other shop had Wilson Combat frames that took 17 round magazines = Not what I want, they also had $60 & $80 Flat Triggers = Way to expensive IMO I saw there are two different slide lock levers & this is the Gen 2 Type Are there two different lengths of barrel/slide 3.6/3.9 for these pistols as far as Grip Modules go? Seems like a great pistol but remember my last SIGs were P220ST, P225, P228, P229 & P239 = Hammer Fired Aluminum Framed SIGs I have several other Polymer framed handguns = Hk USP Compacts X 2, P2000sk, S&W M&P Shield 2.0 & SD9 FDE + a 380EZ & Glock 19X. Really Like this handgun for the price & how it feels, the small factory grip is what I want or a custom small grip Someone guide me to a grip module PLEASE! It's been a long time since I have been around here on the SIGFORUM, can't remember how to even post a photo here, but will get that figured out I felt a small grip module at the SIG Sauer Grip Module Display & one of those would serve me well, Mine is the M = Medium in 9mm with the compact barrel Thanks & Enjoy B92

P320 grip modules vary in size in two ways: circumference and length. Length obviously affects how the grip feels in the shooter’s hand, but also affects the shortest (lowest capacity) magazine that will flush fit in the module. Circumference sizes are small, medium, and large. If you tried a small and liked it, that’s what I’d try to find. I don’t, however, know if the circumference sizes vary based on the grip module type, i.e., full size, Carry, Compact, Subcompact. They may, or perhaps not. I suspect not, but have no information or experience to support that. Circumference sizes of Wilson Combat modules seem to be a little larger than factory modules, but I haven’t tried to confirm that. The Subcompact flush fit 9mm magazine holds 12 rounds, which makes it the shortest grip, whereas the Compact and XCompact use a 15 round mag. The Carry and full size modules will take 17 round mags for flush fit. I don’t know if that answers your question, but it’s what I know. As for approximate barrel lengths, both the Subcompact and XCompact have 3.6 inch barrels, the Compact and Carry have 3.9" barrels, and full size has 4.7" barrels. “I can’t give you brains, but I can give you a diploma.” — The Wizard of Oz This life is a drill. That appears to be a compact. You could buy a small compact grip module, which would make it a bit slimmer in circumference, but no shorter. The only smaller factory option is the Subcompact, which reduces you down to 12-round mags if you want them to be flush fit. The your compact slide would extend a bit beyond the dustcover of the subcompact grip module, but there should t be a gap and it will work fine. The subcompact modules come in small and medium circumference...the medium has a rail but the small does not. There may be some aftermarket options out there, but I don't have any experience with those. Or you could buy a grip module and modify it yourself to your liking...they're relatively cheap compared to buying a frame for a more traditional gun, and it's not serialized, so if you screw it up you can just toss it and buy another one for $35.

If you are looking for a P320 Compact grip module (normally with 15-round magazines) with a smaller circumference, you'd be looking for this. (Standard Compact Small Module - Black 3.9 & 4.7) The 3.9 and 4.7 is in reference to barrel length. The Small is the same length to hold the 15-round magazine, but again, just smaller in circumference. I would advise shooting the gun before you order the Small grip module. I've had a few students think they need a Small, try the one I have, and go back to Medium. I've also had students go from a Medium standard module to an X-Compact module (different design) and never want to go back. So I would also consider trying an X-Compact. It is available in X-Compact Small, but again, I'd try shooting the Medium version first. Based on an admittedly very small sample, that has been my experience as well. Fortunately, though, SIG grip modules are very inexpensive. “I can’t give you brains, but I can give you a diploma.” — The Wizard of Oz This life is a drill. It is only a drill. That rug really tied the room together. |
I like the x grip and think most people would probably prefer it as well. ______________________________________________________ Often times a very small man can cast a very large shadow

And the secondary market is decent since they have never really been in plentiful supply.

Sorry I didn't see this until now but also try Proven Outfitters if you need any more grip modules. They sell them for $29.00 and I have bought from them before many times and they have been great. If you decide to get a larger grip module, I agree with others that the X-Carry module is nothing short of amazing. It fit my hands much better than the standard "roundish" grip did on my M18. As if that wasn't enough to spend your money on, ACT-MAGs makes mags that are excellent quality for half the price of Sig mags. Of course that is when you can find them in stock. The problem with the P320 design is, you will spend a ton of money on it, as they are the Lego of the gun world and has so many options.

I ordered the SIG Compact Small Grip Module from SIG last night $39.99 Then I came across someone selling a New Wilson Combat Compact Grip Module & One New Magazine for $110 & a Flat Faced Trigger for $35 SO? I might be having a try at a few different ones Think I might have to remove the tabs on the magazines to use the Wilson just like the X-Carry module, So I might be wanting 2-3 new flat magazine floor plates I removed the Fire control module when I was cleaning the P230 yesterday = Piece of Cake

This Pistol is under the drop safety recall It's trigger pull is very nice BTW I have all but decided to try the Small Compact Factory Grip Frame & see how it goes before I install the flat faced trigger Still unsure I want to send the pistol back to SIG Sauer for the recall

I'd recommend it. Not only does the upgrade fix the drop safety issue, but it also installs a disconnector which will help guard against out of battery discharge. Also, it will ensure that your gun is compatible with any other new production slide/caliber exchange kits that you may want to add in the future. It's a simple process, Sig will cover shipping both ways, and I experienced no adverse affect on my trigger pull (there was a little machining grit in there when I first got it back, but after a good cleaning it was back to normal). IMO the benefits greatly outweigh the small inconvenience.

Does anyone know the date that the change was done? = Just trying to date the pistol, Its Serial# is 58A09**** I've seen that SIG mills a notch in the slide & adds a disconnector & different striker release lever + a lightened striker assembly Of course, I could just call SIG Sauer & ask it's born on date while I'm having them email me the shipping label for the return

Mine doesn't have the disconnector or the notch for it in the slide I saw a video of a fellow who had his "Upgraded" & it's easy to tell once you know what to look for Also saw a video of a guy putting live rounds in one & smacking the rear with a shot hammer & was able to get it to fire

Here's a few photos if I can get them to load here of the striker assembly + slide & the frame without the disconnector I started another thread here but it withheld because of too many trigger words? Striker, Grip Module, TRIGGER

Yours is a pre updated version. Go here https://www.sigsauer.com/p320-...tary-upgrade-program Follow the instructions and you will send your pistol off to Sig. They will cover everything and it shouldn't take too long to get it back. My upgraded 320 is the one I carry everyday. Owned it since 2015 and overall has had over 10k through it without a single issue. TXPO Coldborecustom.com
