I have been putting this off but my wife MADE me buy it yesterday. Only came with two mags so I promptly ordered some Wilson magazines, a kydex iwb holster and mag carriers. I have not shot it yet but am looking forward to it. This will be my daily carry. Springfield Operator LW Commander size with AOS. Not sure if I will get a red dot yet.

Very nice. I have a couple Springfields and like them very much.
Your new one is almost a carbon-copy of a new Tisas model I recently acquired, in 10mm. Commander length 1911s just carry sooo well.
Both manufacturers provide good quality, for the price point.

Congrats on both the 1911 and a bride that forced you to treat yourself right. Smile

When I was heavily into 1911s, Wilson Combat magazines were my go-tos. I’d advise that when they arrive, disassemble them to clear-out any residual lube, then re-assemble and load them and let them sit for at least a day or two. I’ve had some issues with brand-new WC magazines that I didn’t treat that way.

Congrats. It's important to listen to the wife on things. Granted this can be used against you later. Wink

I’m young(ish) fart and would not want it any other way! Even this retarded millenial loves the classic 1911 in .45ACP. Beautiful 1911, really like the black pistol with tan grips.

I too just bought a 45 Commander (DW Specialist). I have a couple decades old Wilson Combat 47D’s (I think). Are the MecGars that are like 24 bucks as good as other MecGar? I can buy WC again but they aren’t cheap. What says the collective.

Two Mecgar mags came with it but I have not shot it yet. Will be going today or tomorrow and let you know. Of course I will be taking the Wilson mags as well.

Congrats on the great Wife and nice Springer! I just shot my newly acquired SA Garrison last weekend, great pistols! The factory SA mags work flawlessly(Metalform?) they are all I have ever run.

So far it has shot great. I put HST, Black Talon, hardball and reg Federal jhp's though it with no issues. My only issue is finding a kydex iwb holster for it for strong side carry. I ordered a WEthePeople holster for it but really wanted my go to holster for it, who does not make on for this model. Anybody else have this issue?
