Oh good God. I brought up NOTHING, Para. All I said was that there were a ton of guns to fit the OP’s criteria. Didn’t mention price. Didn’t post a pic. Didn’t even name a friggen gun. You jumped right in with your typical hostile BS. Got some serious anger issues it appears.
Hey whatever makes you feel good.

Stop
I don't want to hear your bullshit.
You always pull this shit. You behave as if you can't comprehend what I'm talking about. You're yammering at me about your initial post, when my remark about you being so special refers to this:

You want me to think you're so stupid, you couldn't figure that out, but I think you know exactly what I was referring to, and I don't want to see any more of this obtuse horse shit from you, you special, special man.

This one sort of slides in the crack between a 1911 and 2011:
I've got the Sig P225 (the real one, the original) and P220, both from 1990's/2000's sometime. 9mm and .38Super respectively. I like them. Budget permitting, I'd buy another of either one in a blink. Good luck with your decisions.

3rd gen Smiths have been mentioned, but the 3913/4 shouldn’t be overlooked. Reliable, accurate and easy to carry. I’ve had several over the years. Currently I have a 3914 that is a sweet shooter. With Hogue grips, it will do anything I need a defensive pistol to do.

Here are some of mine that meet the OP’s criteria. I did not post super obscure models
Sigs and Sig Sauer of any flavor, American, German, Swiss (disregard the two P320’s)
Bren Ten, a flawed icon
S&W autos
Phoenix AG
Browning Hi Power
Beretta 92 variants
1911’s are awesome: Wilson, Ed Brown, Les Baer, Guncrafter, RRA, SA Custom, Alchemy, Nighthawk, Cabot, etc
Laugo Alien (yes, it’s hammer fired)
CZ and CZ Custom. Throw in a Dan Wesson
Pardini GT
Walther P88 and P5 series (please don’t mind the two strikers)
Arma Zeka and FK BRNO (minus the polymer PSD)
Various 2011’s (here are a few Staccatos, Atlas, LimCat, Infinity, etc)

CZ75 series, including SP01/tactical/shadow/other variants.
I assume this also includes the polymer-frame P-07, P-09 and the recent P-09C.

They don't meet the OP's criteria due to the polymer frame, but I've been darn impressed with my son's P09. IMO it's better than his metal-framed PCR, and if I was starting all over again with no other outside factors I'd probably just get a P07 (or P09C) and a P09 and call it good. I prefer the grip shape and decocker design of my P226/P229, but not enough to justify the extra expense, and I'm sure I could quickly adapt to the CZ.

I can concur that the DWX is "FINE".
everyone is different when it comes to what's BEST for them physically, but for me it's perfect, aims naturally, fantastic trigger, and profile conceals well. It checks all the boxes for me.
It's also the pistol I shoot the best. I'm confident I could get all shots on a silhouette as fast as I can shoot up to about 15-20 yards.
ETA: DWX Compact is what I'm referring to, I sold my DWX as it was quite the opposite personally.

Doesn't AREX still make a decent metal framed SIG P226'ish clone? I have never really heard anything bad about it and the ONE that I have handled seemed pretty nice especially for the money.
I actually do get what BAC is saying though and there is a certain joy to owning "kinetic works of art" vs just guns. Not that owning good quality guns is somehow a bad thing or beneath someone I am just saying that there is a joy to be had if you are that kind of person.

No, no, that one there in the middle with wood grips, to the right, that's not a -1 of a kind because I saw one on GB! This message has been edited. Last edited by: parabellum,
