| How rare is your pistol? If you are selling a P226 chambered in 7.65mm, stock configuration would work best. If you are selling a Glock 19, any extras would help your item stand out from the rest of 'em.

| Unless you find someone who wants the exact options you have installed I would put it back to stock and even if finding the right buyer you will take a hit on all the extras.
Regardless I prefer stock and prefer to do any mods myself. |

| If you're using some internet service, put it out as it is, describe the upgrades and see if it sells. If it doesn't, try stripping it back to stock and selling the bits and pieces separately.

| You'll almost certainly not get the equivalent value out of aftermarket parts, but the market is so soft right now that they may help the overall value. There are probably a few exceptions for things like Apex triggers in M&Ps and other relatively conservative but universally appreciated upgrades.
Magazines are a little easier to part out separately. |

| I usually part everything out. I got tired of giving away expensive mags for pennies on the dollar. My last sell I did offer the mags at a discounted price to the buyer though. It was easier than listing them separate and the shipping cost/hassle was already included with the gun sale.

It doesn't work the other way. I looked in the used gun case and saw an interesting item but it was priced for the store to get back all the options and accessories. |

| Your approach is good. Leave upgrades in and offer mags either to first buyer at a small discount or sell separately. I don’t take upgrades out (except for red dot removal). Not worth the time or effort to me.

| Piece meal usually brings more money. Unless the mags are super hard to get such as a HK P7. |
