Picked it up on Labor day, and hit 551 rounds today.
It does great with with all weights and types of ammo (115--147) and the various brands of mags.

I changed the sights to the Ameriglos and that is all I've seen that I want to change. I shoot my Gen4 19 better still but it has many more rounds through it.

This was from 7 yards with 124 blazer brass. 15 rounds.

It does seem to shoot the 124 and 147 am bit more accurately.

I handled one yesterday. It's on my shortlist of purchases.

i fondled one at the store, and held it back-to-back with the gen4, and couldn't tell the difference in-hand. Even dry-firing didn't show any real differences. I see the appeal for people with different hands than me, but the 19 just fits me, so the finger grooves are fine and all. If I were in the market for a 17, I imagine the absence of the finger-grooves there would be an improvement for me.

I think I'll stick with the gen4 for now, but we'll see. I've considered getting a second G19 for my suppressor, but I'm not positive yet. I need to outfit a couple AR's slightly better first.

I went to pick one up at the local shop. I do not like the feel of the trigger. Very mushy. I like the light take up then solid break of my old gen 3 21. Looks like I will keep looking for a deal on a gen 3 19.

I bought one last week. After about 270 rounds I'm happy with it. I did add the medium beaver tail back shell. The trigger is "mushy" but very smooth and I have to say that I've never shot groups as tight as I have with the Gen 5 out of any of my other Glocks.

this is after 250 rounds with many draws from a blade tech holster. Note its all smoke

After wiping down at the end of the range session:

The barrel and slide now with 750 rounds is getting the smileys like my Sigs get, note I have been keeping it lubed with TW-25 or Lucas oil.

While it will never feel like a trigger on my Les Baers it's become very decent. Dry firing is not the same as actually shooting on this Gen 5.

Pic of my range, its actually at the 100 yard mark (goes to 200 beyond the berm) the gongs are well used. Smile

cool range. I too notice smilies. I wonder if this will freak out those Glock folks that haven't owned a Sig.

I think the trigger is decent. Not as nice as the tuned set up on my Gen 4 with an Overwatch trigger and bar but pretty close since the G19 Gen 5 has a smooth, rounded trigger shoe. No doubt when Ghost comes out with some sort of connector, I'll try it. I just can't resist.

I had fun out on the range today with the 19.5 got it up to 1050 rounds. Not a single issue but I've never had a problem with a Glock other than they multiply in the safe.

I got to hold one at the local shop and really liked it, even though the gen 3 grooves work for me. Was fun to compare it to a gen 1 G17 they had. One thing that I am not hot about is how the magazine well flares out, and the cutout in front could have been more smoothed.

I like 19.5 as a model/generational indicator. Clever.

What kind of sights are those? Square or U notch rear? How do you like them?

I just got a set delivered today of the factory Ameriglo sights with the square rear. Going to be getting them installed and then to the range. Hoping to like them more than the Trijicon HDs.

Ameriglo with the square notch. They are very good for my eyes and fast target acquisition the front sight is too big for pin point accurate shooting but I can hit a 3" plate at 15 yards reliably so I'm happy.

I just put Ameriglos on my 43. Rear U notch. I like them. I love HD's but I like the "normal" height of the Ameriglos. I read with interest how the square notch vs U notch should favor square but I'm an oddity because I like the U notch.

My 43 came with the U-notch - I have the Idots on my G19s and G42 but the U-notch works fine thus far.

I've been carrying the 19 for a bit and decided to put another 150 some rounds down range today. Still not a damn negative thing to report. Wink

It is very reliable and accurate. I'll do some pictures at 1500 rounds.

I sold another today. Every time I handle these I find that I like it more. But unless Glock cuts the slide for the MOS I'm remaining on the sidelines. I have zero need for the ambi slide stop, and I otherwise already have a Gen2.

I have the Gen 4 19 and I recently shot the new Gen 5 19 putting about 75 rounds though it. Felt familiar in hand and it was more accurate for me than my Gen 4. The only other pistol I've shot as accuratelty is the Sig P226 Legion Full-Size. I'm guessing the new marksman barrel in the Gen 5 makes a difference. The only negative I had was trigger in the Gen 5 felt crunchy.
