Part II - Let’s spend more money! is on Page 2...

I recently picked up a 9x21 barrel from Beretta while on sale and started looking for what was supposed to be a new, but, cheap 92 to try it out in, as well as a .30 Luger barrel coming in from Bar-Sto.

Not being a big fan of the standard grip, I wanted to try a Vertec style frame. Of course, that starts to narrow down the field and raises the entry fee just a bit.

Being in Connecticut, threaded barrels are banned, so that rules out most of the M9A3s that are available. I did find one non-threaded model in black, but, was on the fence about dropping $900 for it.

While looking around, I did find a seller on GB who had a new M9A3 frame assembly for sale as well as a complete Inox Brigadier slide assembly. Although it would've been no cheaper than the A3, I thought it would make for a pretty good looking combination.

Now, the slope was already becoming pretty slippery when I came across the Wilson Combat 92G Vertec Brigadier Tactical and was hooked. It checked all of the boxes I wanted in a 92 and then some. I did a bit of searching and was able to find one for $1295. Not quite "cheap" (especially when I was reluctant to spend $900...), but, it was the best price I came across.

I had a chance to pick it up today and I find myself really liking it. Didn't get to spend too much time with it, but, did take a couple of quick pics:

Be very afraid my friend.

One Beretta 92 can very easily turn into 2-3-4-5 Berettas in very short order.

Well done!

Thanks! It seems that I’m already heading down that road having picked up a LNIB 85F (along with a .32ACP barrel for it) last month.

I can see myself adding another, a 92X perhaps, although a Vertec without a rail would be the ticket. Unfortunately, I think that combination is only found in a Steel.

Nice!

This seems familiar to me. Right before I was accused of hoarding P220s

The .30 Luger is a fun round to have. I keep running out of ammo somehow.

Nice looking pistol. I had to sell my 92 a little while back and swore I wouldn't but had no choice. I recently traded into a 92 compact and could not be happier. They are works of art and they one of the few guns that feel like they ride on ball bearings. Now you have to get a CX4 Storm. Wink

one of the nice things about Inox slides is stoning the rails and mirror polishing the feed strip in addition to the Wilson Combat/LTT spec action tune. If you think it's good out of the box, just know you can go even further without much effort

These instigators here all started posting about those Wilson Berettas and I got the Cen. Tac a while back. Very slick guns.

I stumbled across it on GB. Didn't think my bid would make it to the end, but, I lucked out.

Two in a row now...last month I found an 85F for under $500 that was like new.

After reading about the 92X a lot lately, I'll be adding one once they reach the States.

Nice pistol!

If it didn't come with an action job I'd recommend the Langdon TJIAB- trigger job in a bag. It made my Wilson BrigTac's trigger feel as good as it should in a gun like that.
