A longer and a little thicker grip would be an improvement in my opinion. The 43 is a bit small for me, but still shoots great. I’ll buy an X. My prediction is they will call it the Glock 44.

I'm in! i'd buy a couple, and like 18DAI I'd love a single stack .45acp about the same size. I'd buy a couple of those too. Regards, P.

Another interested party here. G43 & it's ilk (Shield, P365, PPS, etc) are all too small/short for me. Give me a bit more grip length? Yes, please! _________________________ "Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. Sounds like the G43 they should've made from the start. Stupid Glock.

Not surprised to see this. Production of after-market mag extensions for the G43 is booming. Everyone wants the the thin design plus the addition of 1, 2 or 3 extra rounds. Great to get that combo set up that way from the factory. I am def interested in this.

G46 is that one with the rotating barrel. Basically a G19 with a different operating system.

So if we look at the current model 43, and apply the 4mm wider and 15mm longer dimensions then the length increase would be similar to my current gun using the Pearce +1 extension. As a matter of fact 15mm longer would be just shy of the little pinky lip on the Pearce. And as far as width is concerned there is already a raised area on both sides of the upper grip. The frame on my pistol at the "thinner" area by the rear pin measures out at 23.4mm. The "raised" area comes in at 26.7mm. So considering that the new X grip would potentially be close to the same thickness as the raised area of the current 43 I would be more than happy with that change.

I personally prefer a full grip over magazine extension. I have found with extenders it can feel weird while shooting in that the finger on the extender being attached to the magazine moves a bit more than the grip. Also as far as aesthetics I don't like longer extenders. Some also complain of pinching by gap in extender.

Thank you Very little |
a slightly longer G43 grip would be nice

Yeah but who would buy that? Glock runs a business, not a charity for lost causes!

Depends on one's perspective. Mechancially, yes. Why not build the perfect gun from the get-go? Financially however, this is smart. Glock knows that everyone and their brother was waiting on a single stack model for decades, preferably in 9mm, so what do they do? Introduce a single stack in .380 ACP. People by and large ate them up because it was Glocks first single stack pistol. Next, intro a 9mm single stack a little later on. The flock goes running to snatch these up. Now.. widen the grip, increase the capacity some and BAMO! The clamoring mob can't get their grubby little hands on them fast enough. See the pattern here? "Also I heard the voice of the Lord saying who shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, here am I, send me."

Try smart Glock. Many folks that bought 43s will dump them for the new 43x. More quantity sold more money made. I’ll be one of those getting rid of my 43 for a 43x. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. I will be your brother, and I'll hold your hand. You should know I'll be there for you!

Glock is BRILLIANT. Sell a .380 people complain its not a 9mm but hey its a pocket Glock so what the hell... Bring out the 43 in 9mm. Holy crap they finally made the pocket Glock I REALLY wanted....I gotta get one of these. Bring out the 43 with a 10 shot magazine.....WOW FINALLY.... How may Glock 42s do you think Glock would have sold otherwise? "Guns are tools. The only weapon ever created was man."

An array of various 10 round pistols would be a good thing to have, if a different political party takes over in 2020 and we get the Gun Control Act of 1994 back again. The G-43x is a good idea, not necessarily to replace the G-43, but to fill a slightly different niche. Several variants of Sigs could fit between the P365 and a P225, if those two define the smallest and the largest single-stack guns that might be allowed in the marketplace under a new GCA. From Sig's perspective, a thinner 2.0 version of the P239 might be a good thing to get ready.

This pistol was designed to compete with the 365. Magazines will be traditional Glock, not metal. Word is there will be two pistols introduced at SHOT. Internet chatter also suggests a single stack Glock 19.
