Installing a Holosun 507K X2 on a 365XL? Login/Join

Hi,
I'm going to put a Holosun 507K X2 ACSS on my XL, In looking around the web it seems when you remove the plate on the slide it also removes the rear sight..?? Not so on mine. Is this thing gonna fit, anyone have one?

Thanks,

I believe the original P365XL had as you described, a rear sight that was part of the OR (optic ready) plate cover. If you installed an optic, it removed the rear sight. This gen 1 had slides w/ "XL" roll marks.

For the P365XL's second gen OR - what you have - the optic cut was moved in front of the rear sight. Oddly, the slides now have "X" roll marks, which makes it difficult to distinguish between X & XL variants. Any Holosun K footprint optic should fit. Pictured below is one w/ a 507K.

Thanks, that is what I needed to know.. Much appreciated...

Question for ya, is that your gun, if so how do you like the straight trigger? I can see leverage might be better by pulling on the bottom...

That is not my gun, although I have owned an XL before.

I'm in the minority in that I generally prefer the curved trigger on P365s; however, I picked up an X Macro last year that has the best trigger I've encountered on a straight trigger P365, so that one is growing on me.

Doesn't yours have the straight trigger? Curved was never an option on XLs.

My gun is a mutt...The stock trigger would pinch my finger on the trigger guard on reset..it hurt...The thing also shot low and I had to buy sights and a good sight pusher to change them-still a tad low. I honestly did not care for the gun after all the hype it got. I ran into some parts deals, tan 365 compete slide, grip frame, 3 new in the box XL mags, and a bag of small parts, judging by the triggers they were 365 parts, springs, sears, trigger bars and etc... so I fixed up the XL and use the 365 slide, it shoots great, shorter slide caries well but I still have the bigger grip and I shoot it pretty fair. A buddy wants to shoot steel matches with carry guns with optics so I figure to slap that optic on the xl slide and just put it on the gun for matches and switch back for carry. I was thinking of getting one of those aftermarket triggers with an overthrow stop screw, I think the stock trigger only pinched me when it went past 90 degrees after the break and then came back.

My P365XL with a Romeo that I sold.
Must have been the Gen 1 you described.
