Found an M11 at a LGS and after a bit of research, pulled the trigger...
Wow! What a pistol! I am a big S&W 3rd Gen guy, but do believe, with a bit more trigger time, that this will become my new carry pistol. Have been carrying a 6906 daily for nearly 10 years, but the M11 is just a bit bigger, yet has 5 more rounds. I am already used to carrying a bit heavier pistol, so that makes no difference to me. Just over 150ish rounds through it today and really like this one a lot! Smooth trigger, quick reset, low recoil and has good sights. What's not to love?!This message has been edited. Congrats! This is not a pic friendly site, but you need to try! lol I had a green one once, got sick of the color and traded it off. Missed it, and bought a P228 to replace it.

Lol..been there done that. Had a German made 228 from 1989 with proof marks, stupidly sold it. Recently bought a West German 228 not quite as old but man what a shooter. Bought a few Mec-Gar 15 round mags which function perectly along with the original 13 rounders. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Jim228,
I’ve owned lots of S&W semi autos and they are great. But after trying SIG’s in the early 90’s I became a convert. Most of all due to the Smiths’ safety/decocker mounted on the slide. I found SIG’s decocker more intuitive.
Congratulation’s on the M-11. After owning 228’s, 220’s, a 239 and 226’s through the years, I’m down to a P229 in 9mm and a 220 in .45 due to downsizing. Enjoy.

Moby - Great choice! I have an M11 in FDE which I am working into my EDC rotation. I'll be adding the SRT to a few other P229s soon to work them into the EDC herd.
